'this was an older motel where you drive up to the room door, which is very convenient. despite being old, it had newer bathroom fixtures, shower head was awesome. room was quiet but air conditioner was loud.'

'Its a very nice compact cabin for upto 6 people. Nice private back and front proch, short walk to the local store. Good location short distance from the river. We liked to go to the small country road bridge 3 min drive or 15 min walk where access is free and less crowded. Only "better if" comment would be the internal soundproofing of the bedrooms... The door between living room and bedroom doesn't do much to soundproof from the TV if your teenagers decide to stay up unitl 2 am while you are...

'Our family of five traveled to this beautiful property for the week of Thanksgiving. All of us, from the senior citizens in their mid-80's to the 14 year old girls absolutely fell in love with it. It is a well-loved family ranch/hunting camp on a very large property with all the conveniences of home. If you are looking for something fancy and new, it is not for you. If you are looking for an real place where generations of kids have played, people have cooked delicious meals and eaten them...

'This place was extremely hard to find in the pitch blackness that is a typical Texas evening, I did 3 u-turns on 55 because I was afraid to use someone’s driveway. That was really our only issue, The house itself was immaculate, we couldn’t have been more pleased with the amenities. Outdoor seating areas on front porch and off the master bedroom were just lovely for drinking coffee in the morning and cocktails in the afternoon. The kitchen is stocked with just about everything you would need...

'I greatly enjoyed working with Tasso, the property’s host. They were very easy to communicate with and worked with me to accommodate some unique needs. The property was so serene and beautiful. The home was exceptionally well appointed and spacious. I had fun introducing my kids to their record player and their enjoyably eclectic album collection made for the perfect soundtrack to our stay. We look forward to visiting again.'

'We loved staying in this VRBO! The house is true to the pictures, very clean, and is pretty large with lots of space for a large family to chill out. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans and a good selection of spices. There is access to the river and it was a very quiet neighborhood. We had absolutely everything we needed and loved our stay.'

'We enjoyed our stay at Mona's cabin on the river. Home is well stocked and has 2 nice sitting areas outside. The yard has lots of shade and stayed pretty cool and breezy for the middle of summer. The walk down to the river is beautiful and has a spring creek that feeds into the Nueces which gave a nice spot to cool down.'

Handig voor doorreis, veel geluidsoverlast

"Heel vriendelijk ontvangst, naam de tijd. Maar goed dat het rustig was in het hotel. Kamers roken heel vies. Te veel chemicaliën gebruikt. Hotel ligt gunstig maar direct aan de oprit van de snelweg met een vrachtwagenparkeerplaats direct achter het hotel. Al vroeg in de ochtend werden we gewekt door de optrekkende vrachtwagens om de oprit van de snelweg op te rijden. "
