'Old Carriage House converted into a wonderful apartment. We loved the location of this stay. We were just a short walk down from Colchester Castle and High Street, where we could find a wide range of pubs, restaurants, and shops. The city centre train station was just a short walk away as well. Thank you to our host for the awesome check-in and also for the lift to the "other" train station for our trip back into London. If we are ever in the Colchester area again, we will definitely stay...

'Ideally situated at a farm with fields around. Compact property with living room/kitchen, bedroom and shower room/toilet. Very comfortable. TV in living room. Very warm reception from our host, Emma, who kept enquiring for further needs.'

'No checking in service at all. No prior instructions were given. We were helped into our apartment by the lady who owns the jewellers downstairs. We were woken at 6.45am on a Sunday to the sound of scaffolders and a traffic management company setting up to commence install scaffolding at 7am on the building we are in with no prior communication from the host this would be happening otherwise I wouldn't have booked there. By 8am there was a workman outside my first floor bedroom window so I had...

The bedrooms have enough storage for clothes and other belongings. The fridge is small, but enough for one person and the pantry is spacious. The heating works well and keeps the place warm during the cold months. I stayed for three months and had everything I needed, except for a washing machine, but there are laundromats in the city centre. The...

'We had a lovely short break in this charming cottage. The location is one of the best on the island, down a very quiet track with views out to the estuary and a short walk down to the harbour. Cottage was well equipped and has been renovated to a high spec. Steps upstairs are steep, reflecting how old the property is, so won’t suit anyone with mobility issues, but fine for us - just added to the character of the property. Would love to return!'

'Great location, easy check-in. Caravan was everything but luxurious. It was very dirty. We find old sweet papers under the bed. I would not return it is not worse the value. Despite of this we had a great stay in the island. '

'Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Was perfect for what we needed. Peaceful and very comfortable. Definitely would stay again.'
