'We can't say enough good things about Casa de la Loma. The pictures truly don't do it justice. The view is stunning and we found ourselves enjoying most of our meals outside. 'This property was everything we expected. The in-house chef with breakfast every morning was amazing. It was such a treat! She stays in her own place and you don't even notice she's there but she appears with a wonderful breakfast at your preferred time. 'Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. 'I’m not particularly spiritual, but I practically had a religious experience here, floating in a beautiful pool under a moonlit sky, surrounded by the chatter of five or six monkeys hiding in the trees next to me.In the morning we would ride down into town to grab coffees and pastries and dance on the dusky sand with our kids, finding tiny crabs and strange shells in the warm water.
