'One of the best hotels that I’ve stayed in while in Japan. Highly recommended to anyone traveling in Kyoto. It’s in a great location with good food spots, great views, and easy access to local attractions and transportation. The hotel itself was clean and the staff was nice. I will definitely book again when I return.'

'It's hard to find a large hotel room to accommodate 5 people in Japan. The Mimaru was perfect. One of the largest rooms we've seen. Everyone had their own space and bed. The 2 toilets also made it really private and convenient. We ate at the restaurants around the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful with all of our questions. The gym, although small, provided all the equipment that we needed. The location was central to everything in Kyoto. We would definitely stay here again. '

'I mean wow! What can I say about this wonderful gem of a boutique property. Super cool retro-modern interior, great layout, textures, lighting, and furnishings. 5-star accommodations, for a 3-star price, excellent value. You also have in suite laundry machine, and well equipped kitchenette, good size fridge/ freezer. I hope this starts a trend of refurbished properties done right for todays sophisticated family traveler. Location isn't bad either, lol!'
