'This hotel is amazing and one of the best I have ever stayed in. The room was very spacious, modern yet traditional, comfortable, clean and the bathroom was superb - a large walk in shower and Japanese bath which was excellent with all the walking I had been doing. There is also a washer/dryer in room which is easy to use (instructions included) and was very convenient for the middle of my trip. 'Stay here if you are in Kyoto! Very friendly staff, that seemed available to help if you needed their assistance outside opening hours of the reception too. I wondered how the living arrangement was before coming, but we came as recommended before 19:30 for check-in, so there were no problems with that. 'We stayed in Tokyo and Osaka prior to our stay here in Kyoto at Maeniiya Machiya Inn. Maeniiya Machiya Inn is a definite great place to stay and close to everything. Akemi (property owner) is a wealth of knowledge and gave a lot of tips and recommendations. Be sure to visit Sukemasa for dinner if you like Gyoza. It is very close and yummy for 1000yen!
