'The property grounds are lovely but everything was in need of maintenance and repair. My room smelled like years of stale cigarette smoke. However, It is my understanding that the entire property is currently under a renovation and my room had not yet been renovated. Pool was empty and needed a complete replacement. But because the 16 acres is otherwise so beautiful with a waterfall and stream running through it, I would give it another try in a year or two. '

'Staying at this hotel for 4 nights was great. The staff were all professional and friendly. The food at both the breakfast buffet and Max's was exceptional. I have been to hotel's like the Fairmont Kea Alani and although you don't get the ocean views you still sense the Aloha spirit.'
