'KOMANEKA resort is right on the beautiful Keramas beach and the environment is spacious and restful - it has a very soulful vibe away from the bustle of Canggu and Ubud. We loved watching the waves breaking onto the black sand from our private villa and walking along the beach to Komune at low tide. The staff were amazing and we felt truly at home. Definitely worth a visit, particularly if you are heading to Padang Bai harbour for a fast ferry to the Gili islands line we were. It was beautiful.'

'Booked for 6 nights but ended up staying for 3 weeks. It’s an intimate resort nestled next to a black sand beach away from the main tourists areas, which allows for a more authentic Bali experience. 'The stay was horrible to be honest. Staff was not friendly at all. There is literally no service. Wifi didn't work, there was no mirror or sink in the 'bathroom' and you need to order your breakfast/dinner very early. Worst thing yet, we didn't get a thing! We were kind enough to message the hotel manager privately, but we did not get a reply, not even an apology, while she did read our messages. Long story short: don't go over there.
