'The room was pretty gross. It smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Not like someone had just been smoking in there, but like it had years of smoking and it’s embedded in everything. Walking through the property you can tell it’s not well cared for. They painted the walls in sections but there was excess paint on all door jams and signs. 'The location is excellent but I was disappointed with the accommodation. . The room was dated the upstairs sleeping area was up stairs that were steep . There was no escape if there ever was a fire. They advertised cream and milk in the rooms no cream there was no shampoo or soap in the bathrooms we had to figure out the Tv as it wasn't hooked up and '

'Sherman Inn offers a special quaintness that you cannot receive from the chain hotels. This is GEM! The spacious rooms creates a charming and warm environment. '

'The property has a lot offer in summer. We went during winter. Rooms are falling apart, dirty and more. Staff wasn't friendly. There no breakfast included as advertised. During summer yes. An updated web site would have been nice. I would have stayed at another one. Price for my stay was rediculous seeing as it was regular rate for summer. Never again. We found nicer places for less after so next time will stay somewhere else that will have breakfast included no matter the season'

Jen communicated well, giving all the needed instructions about entry and free parking etc. The room and all areas of the property were well appointed, very clean and had obvious attention to detail. This place is off the charts in character. I had coffee in the turret and looked out to see the St Lawrence River. The stairs require some attention by anyone who climbs them. If was a bit more expensive than other options but well worth the extra. '
