'This cabin was even better than the pictures. The mowed hiking trails were stunningly beautiful and they took the time to make a map of them including mileage. Its helpful that they are all loops so you don't get lost. There were deer all around. The beds and loveseat are comfy. We only found 1 blanket (besides the bedding)so bring blankets if you like naps and snuggling. The place needs an outdoor table and also a nightstand. Nice dry firewood is provided along with outdoor candles. Very nice!...

'The cabin was great. Well stocked with everything we needed and it was wonderful to be able to sit outside and have a fire while watching the abundant wildlife, including a doe and 2 fawns. The trails on the property were really nice, although we only found the time to do 3 if them. Thank you for sharing your property with us. Mike & Lori'

' The campground itself is pretty basic, with cheek to jowl RVs. We stayed in cottage #1 and, on check in, everything seemed good. However, upon entering the cottage we could feel the floor sink several inches in the center of the cabin, as if the subfloor was going to disintegrate each time we stepped on it, so we parked our luggage rack over that spot to avoid stepping on it. There is one couch that seats two people and a large TV which worked OK, but only a few feet from the couch so too...

'Loved the cottage! Only complaint is we could at times hear the people in the next cottage thru shared wall. And loud trains at night. Loved the neighborhood, places you can walk. Short drive into cute town and state park. '

'We enjoyed our one night stay in cottage “2”. The bed and sofa sleeper were comfortable. The cottage was tastefully decorated (not overdone) and although it was small…the two of us were quite comfortable. The cottage itself was very clean which was much appreciated. Wished we could have stayed longer than one night but we both had to get back to work.'

'Loved the large screened porch and private yard! Inside the cabin was clean and comfortable. It is the only place on the last hundred yards or so of a dead end road. A short walk from the Mississippi River and a 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk to a beautiful State Park with great hiking. If you are a light sleeper the trains might be an issue but we thought it was cool to have those distant train whistles.'

'Perfect for our visit. The host is responsive and accommodating. House was clean and spacious, and had everything needed. The beds were comfortable. Steps away from Parrot State Park walking trail. A quick drive takes you to a cute little downtown area with plenty of options for a drink or lunch. We had a nice dinner at Sullivans Supper Club. Would stay again. Was so glad we could bring our pup! Thank you. '

'Every detail of our stay was perfect, including 4th of July decorations and a bottle of wine. The hot tub was fantastic. We loved watching birds from the balcony. The kitchen was big and well stocked. There was a cute little drive in down the road for ice cream. We would be happy to return!'

'This is a great house with just enough space for us all to play games inside or outside, and enjoy some great food. Bedrooms and bathrooms were great. Community pool was a hit since it was so hot and it’s right across the street!'

'We wanted a pet friendly "home away from home" and we certainly found it. The cottage is very nicely appointed inside and has pretty much everything you could want! We only used the master bed and although it is quite a soft mattress it is very comfortable and great pillows (which we never find!) We didn't bring our fishing gear but you couldn't really fish from the back it is too weedy, but it is not far to fishing spots. There were nice places to walk our dog right from the cottage.
