'Great and very helpfull staff. Also, massive shoutout for being one of the few hotels who remained affordable during the Back to the Beginning concert weekend! My room was all the way in the back end of the hotel. The gentleman in charge at the reception offered to walk with me to my room. He insisted I would get lost if he didn't, and he was right. 'Fabulous for a brief overnight stay to break our long journey from the South West to the North East. The facilities looked fantastic but sadly didn’t get chance to make full use of these as it was a flying visit for us. Will definitely stay again and hopefully get chance to enjoy the dining and spa experience next time. 'The hotel is quite dated but still maintained at a very good standard. The property was clwan and the exec room was quite spacious. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was lovely.'

'My brother is disabled and staff went above and beyond to accommodate him. The reception and cleaning staff were very friendly. The room was a little dated but it was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was an accessible one with walk in shower and plenty of grab rails. The hotel was cry good value at the price. We would use it again if we are in the area. The restaurant next door was good value and offered tasty food, it also had very friendly staff.'

'Een prachtig gelegen hotel met een super vriendelijke service. De enige verbeterpuntjes die ik zou kunnen noemen zijn krakende vloeren en de wachtrij voor het ontbijt op zondagochtend. Maar alle belangrijke zaken waren prima in orde. We hebben heerlijk overnacht. Helaas hadden we geen tijd om van de Spa faciliteiten gebruikt te maken.'

'Very clean and lovely large room. Nice views overlooking the canal. Pretty quiet considering the proximity of the main road. Entering the Shower was a faff as the door didn't open wide enough and kept falling off it's rails. Food service and quality left a little to be desired. Not cooked very well and want asked if everything was OK with our meal and Not offered a dessert menu when sent main course back...?? Would recommend staying but will eat elsewhere if we stay again..? '

'Very clean and comfortable room and easy check-in/access, with all necessary details being provided in advance via email as well as text. Reasonably priced. Fairly quiet room/location, despite the accommodation being next to a dual carriageway. Easy access for getting a minicab to family in another town, as well as walking distance to local shops and amenities. A parking space available next to the property was also handy for us, as we drove up from London. Would book again if planning to...
