'Birchington-on-Sea is a small seaside town with a pleasant beach at Minnis Bay overlooking the Thames Estuary and the Reculver Towers further up the coast where the bouncing bombs were tested. There are a number of buildings from the interwar period or inspired by them but the jewel in the crown is the Twentieth Century Bed and Breakfast. 'Absolutely cannot fault anything whatsoever. Responsive, proactive, clear instructions & the photos matched the facilities. Clean, comfortable & spacious.
Would recommend The Powell public house in Birchington if you are either passing through to visit family & friends or just want somewhere to stay after a long walk along the many seaside promenades.
Everything was within easy reach for me which was essential & I will be recommending my stay to my family and friends.
Thank you so much...

'Everything was ok but the wonderful coffee machine and tea making facilities were useless because there was no cups! Also because the accommodation has no reception there was nobody around to help us. So three stars only .'

'I loved my stay at The Beetroot. Michael was really helpful, and lovely to meet; he also gave me an early check-in which was great. Sam who was doing work around the car park was also really nice and really helpful. The room itself was perfect - comfortable bed, great selection of teas and I loved the decor of the bathroom. The location was perfect, too - so close walking distance to everything: restaurants, cafes, the beach, and all the tourist attractions. I only wish I could have stayed...
