  • Gardener's Cottage is omgetoverd tot een geweldig vakantiehuis en ligt op het terrein van de prachtige Chillington Hall en het landgoed .. Begane grond:

    Slaapkamer 1: met twee eenpersoonsbedden met rits en koppeling (kan op verzoek super kingsize zijn).
    Slaapkamer 2: met rits en link super kingsize bed (op aanvraag kunnen twee aparte bedden worden geplaatst) ...
    Slaapkamer 3: met eenpersoonsbed en en-suite met douchecabine en toilet .. Centrale verwarming op olie, elektriciteit, beddengoed, handdoeken en Wi-Fi inbegrepen. Eerste logs voor houtbranders inbegrepen. Welkomstpakket. Omheinde tuin met terras. Prive parkeerplaats voor 3 auto's .. Gelegen op het terrein van de prachtige Chillington Hall en het landgoed, is dit prachtige vrijstaande huisje, voorheen het huis van de tuinman, omgetoverd tot een geweldig vakantiehuis met uitstekende kwaliteit, uitstekende meubels en gezellige houtkachels. Het landgoed zelf ligt aan de grenzen van Staffordshire / Shropshire en biedt een goede uitvalsbasis om beide gebieden te ontdekken. Gasten kunnen de vele openbare voetpaden en ruiterpaden verkennen die het landgoed van 4000 hectare oversteken (kaarten meegeleverd). Op bepaalde dagen van het jaar is het terrein open voor het publiek, zodat ze de prachtige hal, het aangelegde park Capability Brown en bossen, evenals het 60 hectare grote zwembad kunnen verkennen (zie website voor meer informatie). Attracties in de buurt zijn Penkridge Wharf en The Shropshire Union Canal, het RAF Museum at Cosford, The Potteries, Ironbridge Gorge Museum, Dudley Zoological Gardens, Stafford Castle, National Sea Life Centre en het Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom. Birmingham ligt op slechts 30 minuten afstand, met treindiensten vanaf Codsall, op slechts 2,5 km afstand. Met de historische steden Ludlow en Worcester op korte rijafstand, is het echt een perfecte uitvalsbasis. Winkel, pub en restaurant 2 mijl.

Love this well equipped cottage - very comfortable and cosy.

Love this well equipped cottage - very comfortable and cosy. Beds comfortable. Walk through farm land to two pubs. Isolated position.Tips. WiFi very very slow - no good for work calls. And watch out for some very bad pot holes (don’t come here in a sports car!)

The cottage suits us very well, we have visited it many times.

The cottage suits us very well, we have visited it many times.This time it wasn't quite as clean as usual, the upstairs shower is very grubby.It was cold and frosty while we were there but we found the heating came on during the night as well which we found to be too warm.The equipment in the cottage is of very good quality especially in the kitchen.The decor of the cottage compliments its surroundings.We enjoy staying at Gardener's Cottage very much and would recommend it if you are looking for something surrounded by nature and quite isolated yet not far from civilisation.

Fantastic Cottage Retreat

Lovely cottage nestled in the country park of a country home - very well equipped, spotlessly clean, and some great, short and very quiet walks around the grounds and to a beautiful pub. Loved it.

The location is stunning.

The location is stunning. We woke up to sunshine and birdsong surrounded by beautiful countryside. Brewood is a lovely village/town just a couple of miles away with all amenities. We had the bridleway at the bottom of the lane and an abundance of other walks to choose from. Heavenly!

The cottage was very well equipped and the bed really comfortable.

The cottage was very well equipped and the bed really comfortable. I found the booking process was very efficient and the cottage was perfectly prepared for my arrival, even with bread, milk, butter and tea. It was perfectly situated for my purposes and very peaceful. The bathrooms are fab. Just a couple of suggestions to make it even better: The garden is supposed to be enclosed but it's possible for dogs to get from the back garden to the front, under the gate and out to the drive. There were sheep in the field by the drive so I would have preferred to have been able to let them out and know they couldn't escape to the front! It would be easy to change that and make back garden secure. The television was not very good and it would have been nice to have the facility to record and catch up. Phone reception (BT) was poor. I would definitely book again.

Beautiful cottage in tranquil location within the grounds of Chillington Hall. Beautifully furnished & excellent kitchen & bathrooms with good facilities. Good location for National Trust properties. Codsall is nearest town and has a good Coop for food supplies. An excellent location if you want to get away from it all.

Loved staying at Gardner’s cottage.

Loved staying at Gardner’s cottage. It was summer so enjoyed the garden to its fullest and went on a few walks, one of which to The Oakley for lunch. Cottage is very well equipped and beautifully styled. Location is fantastic as feels really remote but not far from amenities when needed. Would most definitely stay again.

This is a beautifully renovated and furnished cottage in a fabulous rural location.

This is a beautifully renovated and furnished cottage in a fabulous rural location. Although the cottage had obviously been very thoroughly cleaned after the last booking this had been a few weeks prior and the spiders had run amok in the interval!!! There had also been an issue with wasps which had been dealt with but a number of dead ones had been left lying around. Another nest was still active and my wife was stung in the kitchen. In our efforts to keep further wasps out we shut the door in haste and locked ourselves out! We went to Chillington Hall to obtain the spare set of keys and our needs and concerns were dealt with with great kindness friendliness and concern. Overall we were delighted with our short stay experience. However, it would be helpful if the kitchen equipment could be augmented with items such as a gravy boat and a set of saucepans with lids. Despite all of this we would certainly stay at Gardener’s Cottage again.
