The Flamingo Hideaway is a newly renovated boutique studio that offers a unique perspective of the Cas Abao landscape. From here, you overlook the vibrant island greenery that leads down to the salt ponds, with a clear view of the Caribbean Sea on the horizon. It is the perfect spot to experience the "Salt" side of our Sea & Salt views—providing a front-row seat to the resident flamingos that frequent the ponds at dawn and dusk.
The Space: This studio has been updated with high-quality finishes and a clean, modern design. It is a well-proportioned and comfortable home base for two.
The Layout: An open-concept space that smartly combines the sleeping, lounging, and dining areas.
Cooling & Airflow: The studio is equipped with new energy-efficient air conditioning and a ceiling fan. To enjoy the island air and the sounds of nature, all doors and windows are fitted with high-quality screens. This allows you to keep the studio open to the air while remaining fully protected and insect-free.
Kitchenette: A fully equipped kitchenette with everything needed to prepare all your meals on-site, from fresh local breakfasts to full dinners.
Outdoor Living & Pool Access
Steps from the Pool: This unit is located just steps away from the estate’s shared infinity pool, making it the most convenient choice for those who enjoy easy access to the water.
Observation Area: A dedicated outdoor space for taking in the landscape. It is a peaceful spot for birdwatching or enjoying a drink as the sun sets over the sea and salt ponds.
Amenities: Guests have access to the property’s shared BBQ area.
Sustainability & "Arid Luxury" We operate with a commitment to "shared stewardship" of our island’s resources:
Natural Cooling: The studio’s design and screened openings often help to diminish the need for air conditioning, letting you live in harmony with the island's climate.
Electricity: 10 kWh/day is included in your stay; excess consumption is billed at $0.40/kWh.
Water: High-quality desalinated water is a precious resource here. Our tap water is safe and delicious to drink—we encourage you to use it and help us reduce plastic waste.
Diving & Snorkeling: To protect the renovated interiors, no salty gear is allowed inside. An outdoor rinse tub and drying area are provided for all equipment.
The Sanctuary Rules
Host Support: Our host lives on-site to assist with maintenance and local advice while ensuring the estate remains a secure and quiet sanctuary.
Pool Etiquette: The shared infinity pool is for quiet enjoyment. No jumping or diving.
Quiet Hours: Strictly 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM to preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the hill.
No Smoking: This is a 100% smoke-free property (including all outdoor areas).
