'What a gorgeous house in a beautiful area, well run by a lovely couple. We had a wonderful stay; this little gem is tucked away on a quiet hillside spot, with breathtaking views of the coast and on the doorstep of lovely walks, and just a few minutes walk to the towns of Lynton & Lynmouth. Our room was lovely; warm, clean and spacious, a pretty and comfortable bed, soft bedding and nice pillows with a great sea view. The communal lounge had a cosy atmosphere, decorated for Christmas and stocked...

'Er kropen heel veel insecten ( pissebedden ) in de badkamer bij het inchecken !'

'Het hotel ligt zoals de naam doet vermoeden lekker dicht bij de leuke haven. Het is tevens in de nabijheid van restaurants en theehuizen (Theehuizen die vreemd genoeg echter wel omstreeks 16:00 uur dicht gaan). Vanuit Ilfracombe zijn mooie wandelingen te maken.'

'All really good apart from parts of the bathroom looking tired and the shower leaking. Also could do with a better shower head. '

'The hotel had spacious rooms and a good restaurant. Did not use the pool but it was a confortable place to stay.'

'Kamer 8: 2 kamers, 1 met zacht, klein 2-persoonsbed en 1 met 1- Persoonsbed. Schone, grote kamer. Beetje muf door vloerbedekking. Badkamer met goede douche in bad en toilet. Lekker uitgebreid ontbijt. Gezellige pub met lekker eten.'

'This is a nice property that's had love and care poured into restoring it. The property is however over-marketed (and over-priced) in our opinion. Expedia market as a 'cottage' and the pin shows a central Woolacombe location. Its actually in a holiday/residential park above Woolacombe. The park its in has a run down feel to it and the first impression was of deep disappointment. Once you've moved in then its a lovely property on the inside. The garden is communal - there is no division...

'Fantastic retreat, off the beaten track but worth it if you are after a quiet stay. The hosts were excellent, lots of communication and available to help if you need anything. '

'An overnight stay for my wife and self, a proper pub in a village with decent food and warm exceptionally clean accommodation. Beer was good and locals were friendly, as were the staff, parking in the village square 50 yards from the premises. What's not to like . '

'What a lovely stay at Newberry Beach Lodge. The property itself is lovely, spacious and very comfortable. Christopher was an outstanding host, great communication and very helpful as well as cooking a great breakfast! The location and surrounding area are also wonderful and my walking boots got a good outing. I fully intend to come back for a longer stay!'
