Nature Lover's Pardise In The Driftless Area of Southern Wisconsin, USA.

We zijn gevestigd op een verborgen klif aan het einde van een doodlopende weg in het drijfloze gebied van Zuid-Wisconsin, in de buurt van de populaire toeristische bestemming New Glarus, Amerika's Little Switzerland in Green County Wisconsin.

Het pand is gelegen in een stand van volwassen eikenbomen met rotswanden, herten en kalkoenen die in de tuin grazen. Het is een droom voor natuurliefhebbers!

De 2600 vierkante voet 3. 5 bad blokhut zit op 40 hectare. Het huis beschikt over vier ruime slaapkamers met zachte bedden, een groot surround-dek in de boomtoppen, high speed internet en toegang tot privéwandelpaden die door het bos slingeren, compleet met kalkrotsen en bestuivers. Het interieur van het huis is bekleed met grenen planken die een aangenaam aroma afgeven en het karakter toevoegen aan het interieur, maar het huis is goed ingericht en beschikt over alle functies die u waarschijnlijk nodig zult hebben.

We zijn dicht bij vele gemeenschappen zoals New Glarus, Dodgeville, Mineral Point, Mt Horeb waar wekelijks lokale festivals plaatsvinden gedurende de lente, zomer en herfst. Neem deel aan een brouwerijtour of proef wat verse kaas in een van de vele lokale kaasfabrieken. Vraag zeker om verse wrongel!

Er is een gemakkelijke toegang tot Yellowstone Lake State Park en natuurgebieden met tal van andere mogelijke recreatieve activiteiten, zoals wandelen, fietsen, vissen, kanoën, varen. Er is zelfs jacht, in het seizoen en recreatief fotograferen op een goed onderhouden gratis bereik in Yellowstone Lake Wildlife Area.

The host was very nice to show us everything and explain details. He was thoughtful and shared information about the history of the area. Amenities were very good and everything was clean, thoughtful details, information about the area, menus for local restaurants, etc. Kitchen was well equipped and we had a very comfortable stay.The hiking trails were fun and we enjoyed exploring the driftless landscape and terrain.The bird feeders and bird watching was outstanding!We felt comfortable, safe, and "at home". it was a memorable family holiday!!

Steve was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and did a great job showing us the property and the home. The location is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The house was very clean and exceptionally well stocked with everything we could need. The beds were comfortable, the water stayed nice and hot during the cold nights, and the cozy cabin living room made it the perfect place to relax. We even found ourselves becoming bird watchers during our stay! Being able to step outside, go for a hike, and get some fresh air was a huge bonus. We truly loved our time here and would absolutely stay again.

This was an amazing stay, not only because the house was great but because of having such a wonderful host. There was a snow storm during our stay, he was very considerate and plowed the drive in the morning for us. We had a wedding to attend that day and he messaged us to let us know it was getting bad out and to head back. I truly believe if he had not done that we would have not made it back to the house. They also offered for us to stay one more day at no cost if we needed to wait out the storm. What a wonderful host and overall person. I will be back for sure. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

If you are looking for solitude, this is the place. It is well furnished and appointed, all you need to bring is food. If you do not wish to cook, there are several great restaurants within easy driving distance. If you get up early in the morning, you will be treated with the sounds of several owls calling from the woods. A truly great place to unwind, relax and enjoy some quiet time with your family.

The property is stunning! Hiking trails right off the front door that are nicely maintained. The house is clean and like home away from home, everything you could need is provided. The owner lives on the property, far enough away you dont even know they are there, but close enough to help if needed. Pets are welcome, just beware there are no fenced areas and wild animals abound. There is even a paddock for horses, it would fit four horses comfortably and is fully grassed with a water trough, however, I would bring electrical fencing to keep the horses off the fencing there. The other nice thing is the property is tucked away from main roads and has only a private drive entrance.

The lodge is a wonderful place that is perfect in every way. Lots of room,yet still cozy enough to spend time with family and friends. It is great that there is a window in the kitchen that allows you to interact with those sitting in the family room who are watching tv or just hanging out. A wonderfully large deck with grill and blackstone available is also there. Having a firepit located on the property was also a wonderful feature that we enjoyed. Steve is a great host who is very prompt at responding and very easy to work with. This is our second visit and probably wont be the last!

This property was a very fun stay for our family with the kiddos! Great location for a day trip to Madison and also visited New Glarus. The kids had fun in the loft and everyone loved having their own spaces. It was great having access to a grill and we enjoyed sitting outside on the wrap around deck for a very peaceful evening. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay that’s within driving distance to some great spots. Also was very well equipped for infants and young children!

The property and cabin were both beautiful! Steve was awesome, he greeted us when we arrived and walked us through the cabin. It was a wonderful place for a family vacation. Some of our favorite parts of the cabin were cooking family meals in the well equipped kitchen, enjoying time on the wrap around porch in the mornings and evenings as well as walks on the marked trails through the property. This is somewhere we would definitely come back to. Thanks Steve!

Lovely Quiet Remote Home

There was enough room for my large family to sleep and eat. It was very private and quiet as there are only cornfields and trees surrounding the property. The host was very helpful and friendly. There was not a swing set as pictured, but the kids had fun playing in the loft.

Adorable country home with a full bathroom for everyone! Large kitchen table for the whole family. My only complaint…is that the TV room had no AC and only a love seat and two chairs. Our family loves to end the night with a family movie and there was no place to sit us all and it was really hot in there. The TV had very basic cable and none of the movie apps worked. The host was wonderful. Other than that it was lovely. Bring DVDs!
