'I was given a handicapped room, which would have been ok generally but - the bathroom floor, with built in drain looked moldy and poorly cared for and the bathroom fan was hanging off the ceiling. But the kicker was that the shower did not get hot - at all. I was able to switch rooms, and I appreciated the staff making the change. 'We stayed here for 3 nights, arrived with a late night flight from Las Vegas at Baltimore Washington Airport. Only a 15 minutes cardrive from the airport, and a 40 minutes cardrive to Washington DC. 'We had a wonderful stay at Wayside Inn. Our host, Joe, was very helpful and was a great chef! Our breakfasts were very good and got us ready for the day ahead. Parking was not a problem and the surrounding yard was shady and pleasant. The giant oak in the front is reported to be 200 or more years old. Our room and bath were well maintained. 'This property is dated. They claimed our initial room was renovated but the toilet would not flush properly, and we had to change rooms. We brought food in and asked for spoons and forks, they only had spoons… I wanted to do some laundry, they had no detergent… Manager was uncaring when we were checking out.
