Located in a gated area (security) this rental is the bottom half of a large well maintained home, and if you're concerned about privacy because of that, you needn't be. We didn't hear a sound from our hosts Ursula and Frank, until we invited them down to make our acquaintance. We had a great time talking with them too ---so very friendly and down to earth. 'This is a perfect getaway location. We enjoyed the privacy and the location is near Boone, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain. Quiet & apartment is perfect. Kitchen had premier cooking utensils, pans, and I loved the extra care with coffee or tea and dishes. Excellent one room for a couple. Walking up to the garden house called Mole Hill is an extra perk. We loved Badger’s Den and the theme from Wind in the Willows!'
