10 personen (4Q, 2T) Deze afgelegen, luxe blokhut van 3.200 m² is prachtig en perfect voor uw volgende bergvakantie. Gasten van dit toestel genieten van frisse berglucht en een majestueus uitzicht op de 1800 vierkante voet van dekken en portieken. Er is een afgeschermde veranda van de keuken en er is ook een "eetgedeelte" met handgemaakte hickory-meubels en een gasbarbecue. Dit blokhut was professioneel ingericht, dus elke kamer is comfortabel en mooi ingericht. Er zijn vier slaapkamers en drie en een half badkamers waardoor het gemakkelijk is om tot tien personen te slapen met queensize bedden en televisies in elke slaapkamer, evenals een dubbel uitschuifbed in een van de slaapkamers boven. De slaapkamer beneden is opgezet als een suite met een woonkamer en een open haard op gas. U kunt dus uw uitgebreide familie of vrienden meenemen! Deze slaapkamer heeft ook een tv, dvd-speler en videorecorder. De slaapkamer op het hoogste niveau heeft een tv, dvd-speler en bubbelbad in de grote badkamer. De woonkamer is uitnodigend en prachtig ingericht met een open haard op gas en kast met tv, dvd-speler en stereo-installatie. De hoogwaardige keuken is ruim en volledig uitgerust met twee afzonderlijke ovens en hoogwaardige kookapparatuur, waaronder een keukenhulp-keukenmixer, Jen Air-fornuis en al het andere dat gasten nodig kunnen hebben om een volledige maaltijd te bereiden. Boven in dit huis met drie verdiepingen zijn twee slaapkamers en een badkamer. De slaapkamer met een queensize bed heeft een kleine tv en dvd-speler en de andere slaapkamer heeft een lits-jumeaux en een queensize bed. Het huis is ook uitgerust met satelliet-tv, wasmachine en droger, en nog veel meer. Het landschap van deze unit is onlangs ook uitgebreid met nieuwe rotswanden en updates voor het gebied van de vuurplaats. Vergeet niet dat dit apparaat niet mag roken. Vierwielaandrijving vereist voor de wintermaanden.

Sticks and Stones is a beautiful home! My family enjoyed our stay so much! We loved the large kitchen/dining/family area where we could gather to eat and play games. We loved the views and feeling surround by God's creation. The home is conveniently located to attractions but nestled far enough away to be private. As others have stated, the driveway is very steep and was a little slick with leaves that had fallen. We cleared those away and had no trouble once we figured out how to strategically park our four vehicles. Just keep in mind you will likely need a 4-wheel drive vehicle if there's snow on the driveway. Thanks for a great visit!

Property was beautiful and very nice. There were several lamps and quite a few of them had burned out lightbulbs. Some of the overhead lights as well. There was only one remote that worked out of all of the tv’s. No batteries in the remotes. We followed the instructions for lighting the gas logs and could not get them to turn on. Nothing major but making sure these are addressed for the next person.

Great get away stay

Lots of room for 4 couples. Beautiful views at the house and on the drive to it. Easy commute to Boone, Blowing Rock and hiking trails.. A couple minor issues with shower knobs.

This is a beautiful, comfortable home. We enjoyed it so much. The location was perfect for visiting the area. You do need the four wheel drive for the driveway which is steep. We would love to come back when we can enjoy the beautiful porches! It was a little cold for that this trip. But the skiing was great!

Beautiful views & comfy space

Sticks & Stones is a beautiful, roomy and comfortable home with everything you could possibly need to cook, play games or just relax. The spacious living area is well decorated and the dining table accommodates a large group with ease. We prepared our Thanksgiving meal and had everything we needed. The beds are so comfortable which was an added bonus! The folks at Foscoe Rentals are awesome to work with if any issues arise. Some things to note: if you are staying in the winter, the driveway is steep and could easily become problematic in bad weather. The basement area has a bedroom and living area that doesn’t stay very warm due to the thermostat being on the main floor. We opted not to use that space as temps dropped into the 20’s while we were there. There is no satellite TV as the ad states so be aware. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to large families or groups!

Good Home

We had a great time at Sticks and Stones! Other reviews mentioned the steepness of the driveway, which had us concerned. These reviews were accurate, however we all managed to make it up and down the driveway, even after some snow (vehicles were F250, CRV, RAV4, and Ranger). The roads to the home are full of curves, yes, but to be expected in the mountains. We had the unfortunate luck of the internet being down, and the location has 0 cellular service unless you stand in the driveway. It made for a great time of card games and chats! We lost power for about 5 hours during our stay, and my only qualm was that I did not receive a message back when I made mention of the loss of power. I know it is no fault of the property manager, but at the time we were concerned about the inability to shower, cook, or have heat. The home is well equipped with kitchen items, and the bathrooms were clean and well stocked with towels. The home could use a light dusting and vacuuming, but it was nothing to the extent of being “gross”. If you have young children, please be aware that the access to the unfinished attic space is unlocked and easily accessible. We would recommend this property, especially for a group.

Sibling Reunion Plus a Wedding

My three sisters and their spouses and I spent a week at Sticks and Stones with a wedding on the Saturday in the middle of that time. The house met our needs well, and we enjoyed our time together. We had four vehicles and were able to park 3 of them up by the house and one in a pullout halfway up. The driveway was indeed very steep and necessitated the use of the lowest gear to get up without slipping on wet leaves (none of the vehicles were 4-wheel drive, and it had been raining). The kitchen was well-stocked. The house was secluded, which we liked, but was only 12-15 minutes drive into Boone or Blowing Rock. Beautiful area. Wi-fi was spotty for some of our phones. Overall we had a wonderful time together.

Mother's 1st mountain trip at age 70

The home was beautuful and we had everything we needed right there. It was very spacious and clean. Beautiful scenery and saw a lot if wildlife. She was sad she didnt get to see any bears but she really enjoyed herself.

Cute Cabin!

Our group was a total of 8 people and this cabin fit us very well! Overall, we enjoyed our stay but we did have a couple of issues. The sink backed up our first morning there, which kept us from being able to wash dishes for 8 people. The dishwasher also leaked water because the sink was backed up. After calling the property manager, maintenance did come out to fix it but not until late that evening. Another issue was that the propane tank for the grill was completely empty when we went to grill our dinner. Even though we had some issues, we overall really enjoyed the house. The 8 of us do a yearly trip to Boone so we will keep this cabin in mind when we book for 2024.

A peaceful stay in the woods

A wonderful stay surrounded by nature. We had a large Buck roaming the grounds followed by a few white tails- the weather was frosty and cold with beautiful fireplaces! The kitchen was very well stocked. We didn't get to use the firepit outside due to the rain but we had a blast catching up with our friends. We can't wait to come back!
