'Good continental breakfast'

'Breakfast is not very varied, especially for long staying guest a disappointment. Also one type of fruit, yellow bananas at the beginning of the week, till they are brown in the weekend. '

'Room was clean. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was basic. Parking was in the city garage with first 3 hours free but overnight $16. Overall good place with some shopping and restaurants, and ice cream places nearby.'

'I picked this hotel because it recieved a 6.8 "Good" rating on Expedia. It was far from good. I would have given it a 0 but that was not an option.The entire property is run down and dirty on the outside. The room clearly had not been cleaned. Therr was residue on the toilet seat, floors, mirrors and chairs. The tub was stained. Rust on the walls and ceiling in the bathroom. 'I have stayed many times to visit my son who attends CMU. This hotel is closest one to the campus that surrounded with good restaurant options. It is about 5 to 10 mins walk to both CMU and Pitts. '

'They have hidden parking fees. We got to pay $30 for one night + refundable deposit during the check-in. Rooms smells like lint, if you are allergic to lint or breathing the particles, its not for you. Age old air conditioning unit in the rooms. Another thing that goes unnoticed while booking is its proximity to the rail way track. Its next to the railway track, trains come and wish in the middle of the night.'

'amazing place,very historic,staff was awesome, a must stay,room was not what i reserved 8 months in advance in the 5th ave house but was changed to 2nd house,which was amazing in itself and worked out great,but it was the point of not being told of the change in advance. but these things happen and it was a great stay'

'Hotel is beautiful; lobby area great-seating & indoor fireplace, can relax with your group. 'This is the second time I have stayed at the Oaklander. The first time there were stains all over my sheets. They were changed. This time the pillows were wrinkled and did not smell fresh. I had to request new pillow cases. It’s a beautiful hotel but when they tell you they are inspecting your room before you go in beware, you better inspect it yourself. Housekeeping was very courteous when they changed the pillow cases. One bright point. Very disappointing for such a beautiful hotel.'

'Prima hotel. Wel auto nodig weinig in de buurt. Ze zijn op dit moment ( begin augustus 2015) wel de gevel aan het verbouwen dus niet erg rustig nu ( wij waren er gelukkig op een weekeinde)'

'Zeer ruime en compleet ingerichte kamers, dichtbij restaurants en winkels. De ontbijtfaciliteit was standaard, niet speciaal, maar wel afdoende. Alleen betaald parkeren, maar wel overdekt. Qua locatie was het voor ons erg centraal naar attracties en winkelcentra. '
