'Good continental breakfast'

'They have hidden parking fees. We got to pay $30 for one night + refundable deposit during the check-in. Rooms smells like lint, if you are allergic to lint or breathing the particles, its not for you. Age old air conditioning unit in the rooms. Another thing that goes unnoticed while booking is its proximity to the rail way track. Its next to the railway track, trains come and wish in the middle of the night.'

'I have stayed many times to visit my son who attends CMU. This hotel is closest one to the campus that surrounded with good restaurant options. It is about 5 to 10 mins walk to both CMU and Pitts. '

'Zeer ruime en compleet ingerichte kamers, dichtbij restaurants en winkels. De ontbijtfaciliteit was standaard, niet speciaal, maar wel afdoende. Alleen betaald parkeren, maar wel overdekt. Qua locatie was het voor ons erg centraal naar attracties en winkelcentra. '

'Centrale locatie in de binnenstad met betaalbare valet parking. Het gebouw en de kamers zijn oud(erwets), maar het is er wel zeer schoon!'

'Room was clean. Staff were very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was basic. Parking was in the city garage with first 3 hours free but overnight $16. Overall good place with some shopping and restaurants, and ice cream places nearby.'

'This is the second time I have stayed at the Oaklander. The first time there were stains all over my sheets. They were changed. This time the pillows were wrinkled and did not smell fresh. I had to request new pillow cases. It’s a beautiful hotel but when they tell you they are inspecting your room before you go in beware, you better inspect it yourself. Housekeeping was very courteous when they changed the pillow cases. One bright point. Very disappointing for such a beautiful hotel.'

'MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN!!!! DO NOT BOOK IF FEMALE!!!!!! As a solo female traveler I find it EXTREMELY alarming that maintenance was able to open my hotel room door despite having both locks on the door. It was around 8:30 in the morning when they woke me up by entering my room. Like why did they have to enter the room to check the broken bathroom door that early? The reservation was under my very femme sounding name and showed only one guest. The staff knew this and still allowed two men to enter...
