'Great hotel, very comfortable. Pool would be better if it showed a view. Being on the deck serves little purpose now as plants are blocking the entire view. Also, it's better to add some chairs when busy. '

'Basic check in with no welcome or hotel explanation, room wasn’t vacuumed, tv didn’t work- kept turning itself off. Given an accessible room even though didn’t need or want it. Around the pool lots of tiles missing, no one working at pool bar. For the money it’s not worth it. '

'Alex Hotel is the perfect location for relaxing in the city. Location is 'cool' (Northbridge) and the vibes in the Alex Hotel are.......Alex. Healthy food and guests with slippers, but than the Aussie posh/classy way. Not Vogue or Harpers Bazaar, but Cosmopolitan. It is Australia so 'no worries mate! Yes the Alex is relax and chic but the Aussie way. And I think than that you understand what I mean.. '

'Apart from the noise from the bar below, which isn’t all that bad, and finished by midnight latest, this place is awesome and I would recommend to anyone. The staff are all lovely, and it’s a real piece of Australian / Perth history, with the high ceilings and origin story on the walls in the rooms. 'Excellent shops nearby, bars, restaurants, retail and 24/7 groceries. Our room unfortunately had a musty smell coming from the air-conditioning and the towels had a damp smell.'

'Voor een paar nachten prima. Beter niet voor dit hotel koezen als het warm of juist koud is buiten. Wij waren er in mei (begin winter) en het was nog best warm. Een raam open zetten hebben we de eerste nacht gedaan, maar het vuilnis wordt midden in de nacht opgehaald, als ook de straat schoongeveegd. Je hebt de hele nacht lawaai op straat als je aan de kant van de weg zit met je kamer. Tweede nacht raam dicht gehouden en geprobeerd de airco aan te zetten. Dit kon niet, alleen op verwarm stand....
