'The home overall was very clean, comfortable and relatively well appointed. The host made himself very available. The listing lists a sleeper couch that we expected would be moderately comfortable - It was not. We would not have considered this passable as a bed. There were also no sheets or pillow for this bed or the air mattress, so we had to make do. Aside from this, it was a pleasant stay. '

'Loved it! The only suggestions we have are to get a more comfortable couch and to put grippies on the stairs leading up to the bedroom (they were a little slippery while wearing socks). The whole place was very clean and well equipped. The scenery could not be beat! '

'The communication with the owner was excellent. And the location was also excellent with stores, gas stations and restaurants with a 5 minute drive. The home was clean and in good condition. The beds were Cozi and comfortable. The basement was nice as well with plenty of games and a table to play them on. The free laundry was a great added touch. I would definitely return and recommend the 1955 to others. '

'Nice place close to downtown LaCrosse and within walking distance of neighborhood bars. Houghton’s is at the end of the street and has good food. Tom was quick to respond and extremely nice.'
