The hotel was at the end of a pothole-filled dirt road- a bit scary not understanding that this is the only access to the property in the middle of nowhere!
Pros:
The two stars are acknowledging that the room was clean and the bed was decent.
Front desk staff was kind in the face of my reaction!
Cons:
Location
Only way to get to the airport is using their expensive shuttle contract- 2x the price of Uber
There was no hot water.
Air conditioner did not work properly after having to move from another room where the AC was non-functional.
Conclusion:
The hotel staff seemed to have gotten accustomed to guests going into initial shock, and were accommodating, but this is not the hotel you want to stay at if you are thinking to get to and from easily. I love the Howard Johnson’s brand from when I was a kid, so I feel sad to give them a poor rating but need to be honest.
