'There was so much potential for this stay to be amazing. Our host, Francesco, was quite responsive in the days leading up to our stay. The apartment is in a ZTL zone, which is fine, but admittedly it was difficult to find. 'Tropea is a beautiful city with excellent restaurants and shops, and obviously the beaches are amazing. Be sure to make reservations for your cabanas in advance. The apartment could use some kitchenware updating and needed a Guest Welcome Guide. We had one weird thing happen upon check in. We were asked for 22 Euros cash for the "local tourism board". It was listed as a line item under Paid at property but to ask for cash was odd especially when it looked paid. We had friends at another VRBO who...

'Mooi oud huis, fijne kamer. Keukentje heel minimaal. Veel gemeenschappelijke buitenruimte, echter niet zo ingericht dat er genoeg tafels in de schaduw staan (of parasol) - dat zijn meestal lage tafeltjes met dekstoelen. Niet fijn voor wie aan een tafel wil zitten om te werken / lezen of schrijven. De beheerder was niet genegen daar iets aan te doen belangrijkste nadeel: veel lawaai, doorgaande weg loopt 50 meter onder het huis, en de spoorbaan (iedere 10 minuten een trein) daar vlak achter....

'Wohnung ist einzigartig mit Charme. Check in unkompliziert. Es war auch gut geheizt, was im November notwendig ist. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Restaurants hat es viele und gut zu Fuss in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Einzig was wir beanstanden: im Beschrieb stand Garageneinstellplatz, was dann aber nicht der Fall war. Wir mussten unser Auto oben am Dorf auf öffentliche PP parkieren. An und für sich kein Problem, aber die Angaben sind nicht korrekt bzw. missverständlich. '

'This place was great and exactly served our purposes to be close to the beach. It had everything we needed and the best part were the hosts. We bumped into them on our last night and ended up having drinks with them for a couple hours--what a great family! Grazie mille!'

'Our host was wonderful. He graciously gave us a beach umbrella for the free beach. He also checked in with us on a cloudy day to let us know if we needed a place to go since it was cloudy for the beach. His map of the area that he left us of key items- grocery market, bus stop, etc was so helpful for us getting around town. We would stay there again. '
