Get ready to enjoy Calgary living while staying in this bright and modern family-friendly home less than 15 minutes from downtown. This place is full of all the conveniences of home, from the comfortable mattresses with high-quality linens to the dedicated workspace with screaming fast wifi, a gorgeous kitchen for cooking or catching up on emails over a coffee and the relaxing backyard the whole family will enjoy.

The Duke is the upper floor of a whole house. The whole house is also available for rent, that will add 2 additional bedrooms downstairs. The listing name is called Duke and Duchess! If you think you will need more space please ask us and we would be happy to help!

Living Spaces

Living Room:
Settle in on the family room sofa in front of the the electric fireplace with a drink and some take-out for a night in streaming your favorite shows on the flat screen tv. This room is elegant and comfortable and a great space to kick your feet up after a day of work or exploring the city and surrounding areas.

Bedrooms
In keeping with the modern and simple design, you’ll find the bedrooms are not only highly comfortable but also stylish. We’ve chosen subdued color palettes for each room to provide an atmosphere of calm so you can have a fantastic night's sleep and be ready for whatever the next day brings.

Sleeping Arrangements:
Master Bedroom with ensuite: Located on the main floor, you’ll find the master suite with a queen-sized bed, a desk and chair, and a full private bathroom.

Bedroom 2 with shared bathroom: The second guest room is also located on the main floor with a double bed, and reading chair. If you’re travelling with kids who are homeschooling or doing class online, this room will be ideal for helping them stay on course.

Bedroom 3 with shared bathroom: The third bedroom is also located on the main floor with a double-size bed, side table and lamp for late-night reading and a large window allowing the room to fill with natural light throughout the day. There’s also ample closet space.

This home sleeps 6 guests comfortably.

Bathrooms:
Bathroom 1: Guests in the master ensuite will enjoy a private bathroom with a soaking tub and walk-in stand up shower for those with mobility issues.

Bathroom 2: Guests from the second and third bedrooms share this immaculate full bathroom with a shower/tub combo.

Bathroom 3: Located downstairs offers a full bath right outside of the two bedrooms for added convenience.

Modern & Inviting Kitchen
This kitchen is a pleasure to spend time preparing meals in, with its large windows and white cabinets providing tons of cheery light throughout the day. We’ve equipped the kitchen with a sleek french door fridge and stainless steel oven, a coffee maker and a beautiful granite countertop island that offers additional bar seating. The dining nook lends a touch of glamour with it's built in bench seating.

Supplies Included Are:
A full set of pots/pans/platters for large meals.
Serving utensils.
A complete set of knives.
Popcorn maker
Oven, Microwave, Dishwasher, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Mixers
Stocked with coffee, tea, salt, pepper and all your basic condiments.

Outdoor space:
The backyard is completely fenced off from the lower suite so you will enjoy your own privacy and your pet will be able to roam the yard without worry!

Consumables
Please note that we provide a starter supply of consumables (toilet paper, paper towel, coffee etc.) but do not provide refills during the stay.

Downtown Calgary (15 mins): You’ll love being so close to the downtown core, where you can plan to visit all the main attractions like the Calgary Zoo, Telus Spark Science Centre, eat at incredible restaurants and get caught up in everything that famed “Cow-Town” has to offer.

University of Calgary (20 mins): If you have a student attending University here or considering enrolling, staying at The Duke makes visiting campus simple.

The Calgary Tower (15 mins): Don’t miss seeing the city from the very best vantage point. Calgary Tower is a must for visitors who want to take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the city you can’t get anywhere else. It’s a fantastic place for a memorable date night or family adventure.

Banff National Park (1 hour): Don’t miss out on the mountains during your stay with us. We recommend planning a day trip regardless of the time of year to either go skiing, boarding, hiking or just take in the beauty of the mountains up close and personal. It’s a must-see!

Calgary Stampede Olympic Park (15 mins): If you’ve come to see “the greatest outdoor show on earth,” Duke and Duchess is only a short 15-minute drive from the centre of the festivities.

The Duke is less than a 30-minute drive from the Calgary International Airport. We recommend having a personal car for running errands and getting around the city. However, public transportation and Uber, Lyft and taxi services all have a solid presence in the area.

How do check-in and check-out work?
We’ve made this completely seamless for you. Upon booking, you will receive our welcome email with all the information you need for a contactless check-in and check-out.

Is parking included?
Yes. There’s a garage, a driveway in the front of the house as well as street parking.

Is there a grocery store nearby?
Yes. There are tons of shopping options in the area. The closest grocery store is Real Canadian Superstore, approximately 5 minutes away.

Are there restaurants nearby?
This city retreat is surrounded by great restaurant options, from fast food to upscale places with amazing tapas. This location cannot be beat!

Is there a laundry room?
Yes. A full-size washer and dryer are available for your use.

House Rules:
1. Quiet Hours are between 10:00PM and 8:00AM. There is a noise monitor in the unit that will test decibels throughout the day.
2. Neither parties nor events will be permitted on the property. The maximum occupancy for this unit cannot exceed more than 6 people.
3. There is no smoking permitted on the property including vapes. Any proof of smoking will result in a $300.00 fee for odour removal. Smoking is permitted on the deck and outside area but guests are required to dispose of their butts responsibly.
4. Although a maximum of 1 non-shedding pet under 30 lbs is permitted on the property we ask that you please keep them off the linens and furniture. Any excessive dog hair or damage will be charged to the guest's name on the reservation.
5. We provide high-quality hotel linens for our property and proper makeup removal cloths. Any stained linens will be charged to the guest.
6. Any items that are mistakenly left behind that you wish to have returned will be shipped via Cash on Delivery along with a $30.00 admin fee.

We were in Calgary to visit my 2 parents in a nursing home, aged 88 & 90. The bungalow was perfect for my wife and I and our 16 yr old daugter. Beautiful home, clean and tastefully decorated. The host was proactive and always ready to help. Central location and the neighbourhood was quiet and nicely kept. We would come back.... Barry

The Duke was the perfect place for family I had visiting from the Netherlands! The check in process was easy. We were all impressed with the spaciousness and cleanliness of the accommodations. There were condiments in the fridge and a selection of spices and basic staples in the pantry. I will definitely keep the Duke in mind for future family visits. Thank you for a great start to my visiting family’s vacation!

We have found a Gem , the home is beautifully furnished and brand new construction! Loved it We had our 90 year old mother with us , it was super comfortable and it felt like home ♥️ We also had a small dog 5 lbs. the yard was perfect Thank you for effortless check in /out . I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Calgary. We will definitely be staying here next time too
