We stayed Jan19-23 2026. This is not your typical VRBO. This new beach house is luxurious, even posh! Wonderful deck with lots of comfortable furniture and great ocean views. It has a double bed and 2 twins in the middle. Master bedroom with its own bath is separate, only accessible from the deck, in the back. 2 great outdoor showers. 2.5 baths. Amazing decks, with great views. Bedroom AC worked great. Huge fancy kitchen, dining, living space. We cooked dinner in twice, and the kitchen and BBQ worked perfectly. Everything in the house is new and in spotless condition. It’s across a very quiet street from the beach, so technically not ocean front—but again, great ocean views from the deck. There’s a house SW that’s barely visible, a small parking lot for Pebbles Beach across the street, another house to the NW, so you have a view from all the way south, to straight west, from the decks (and inside). To the south is a huge lava field and forest as far as the eye can see, so it’s comfortable taking a shower outside, as they face south. Road down is crazy steep! Our small Ford SUV rental struggled with just 2 of us! If you have a carload, consider renting something big, like a Suburban. Pebbles Beach, right across from the VRBO, is very dangerous; people do swim and snorkel there, but I strongly recommend against it. Owner Gregg was a great host—very helpful and communicative. If you’re looking for quiet, extremely nice, off the beaten path, this is an amazing place.
