'The staff was friendly and helpful. The building is old and stuffy. It seems to be a regular spot for traveling workers. It also looks like some people live there. Second floor no elevator. Room updated but the fridge and microwave couldn't be plugged in at the same time. Coffee in the lobby but no coffee maker in the room. I don't know about the hot tub, pool or workout room because I was too afraid to try them even though that was one of the reasons I chose the place online. I'm not saying...

'The Golden Inn was a very nice place to stay for the night. Lea Ann was so helpful and friendly. We were pleased with everything about it…..and will stay there again if we are in the area!!'

'The bathroom smelled like pee. It was dirty and you could still see hair in the shower. The beds we made but it looked like the sheets were not changed from previous guest as there was hair on the sheets and pillows of one of the beds. The room had a pee and moisture smell that stayed in your clothes. We ended up leaving and stopping at another hotel to shower and get some actual rest. While staff where very nice the actual property needs a lot of work'

'There were 2 glasses in the room that had lip marks still on them and the drawers in the bathroom had trash in them.'

'The only thing cleanliness I have to complain about is the shower still had soap scum on the base of the shower floor when I stepped in it. I could feel how slick the floor was from. Where either soap scum was left or cleaning agent was left on the floor of the shower. Also, the maintenance man needs to go around, fixing a lot of cracks and caulking that are peeling'

'This is a "you get what you pay for" property...Fairly inexpensive, but an old, not at all upgraded facility. Had some odors, soap left over on the tub from previous guest, NO coffee. Refrigerator worked well...but strange note to close the bathroom door when using the shower because the steam sets off the fire alarm. Had the fire alarm gone off, the charge was $250 to pay for the fire dep't call. Very strange arrangement. This may be a property you want to avoid.'

'I wasn’t expecting much for the price and it pretty much met expectations. Room was clean. Shampoo in a pouch is strange and hard to open. Bed was hard. Road noise was very loud.'

'We stepped into the elevator and found a filthy rug. Our bedroom bathroom did not have light enough for us to use the mirror. The smoke detector appeared to be dysfunctional. We went to breakfast at 7:30 AM on a Sunday and found many basic items missing like fruit, bread for toast, and hard-boiled eggs. They did have sausage patties and strange little egg omelettes that were warmed over many times. I think this is not Holiday Inn express standards. At least I sure hope so. We went there...
