'The food at the Piedmont Restaurant was not good. The menu was too sophisticated for the staff to execute. The lodge rooms were updated, but not very clean. There was a bridge in the gardens with rotted wooden slats and steps, and one section of the rail was missing altogether. The staff was friendly and helpful.'

'Lodge on Lake Oconee is an older building, (maybe a former chain hotel), the mechanical is aged, tub/shower is old, though hot water was great! Mattress was soft, and furniture was adequate. TV is digital/ satellite based, hard to navigate. Included breakfast was great, both hot & cold options. Parking is adequate.'

'The pool was heated just right the room was clean the staff was excellent didn't use the fireplace couldn't figure out how to use it'

'We asked for a different quieter room and were quickly changed. A large family was just checking in next door. The room had all we needed and was very clean. Breakfast was a treat with a lot of variety and wonderful hostess making everyone comfortable. The indoor pool was popular. The location to the fairgrounds was great.'

'Staff was great and within walking distance to downtown (approx 1 mile). If you are not handicapped, please make sure you don’t get a handicapped room. This room does not have a place where you can hang your dresses and sports jackets/suits are completely off the floor. '
