'We stayed in the Merlot 1 BR cabin, with a queen bed in the living area. Nicely renovated and well-appointed kitchen. Comfortable beds. Great lake views. Couch is not really suitable for sleeping on - maybe child under 8. Kayaking was nice. Linens were clean and in great condition. Patrons were friendly, kind and helpful. Fire area was great. Amazing access to the dunes. They are fixing up the place and doing a good job. That retaining wall is gonna be a big one. '

'When in a room you could not hear noise from other rooms or the hallway. When in the hallway, you could not hear noises form the rooms. The beds and bedding were very nice. The drapes made it possible to darken the room to our liking at night. The fitness center was clean and we made use of it since it was windy and raining outside. Very nice hotel. '

The fact that the hotel had a lounge and restaurant worked out perfect for us to be able to have a few drinks with dinner and not have to drive. We absolutely loved the rocky coastline in front of the trail and hiking the 804 trail. Overall, no complaints. '
