'The room was clean and did not smell. Staff was great. Easy parking to get in and out of property. Staff was readily available. Breakfast bar was great. Had a wonderful experience and will definitely stay here again.'

'The family suite was very underwhelming. There were 2 coffee mugs and 2 glasses and nothing else even though there was a full kitchenette. The furniture was uncomfortable and there was a dank smell that we couldn't get rid of even with the windows open. The staff was absolutely lovely and the facilities were very clean, but I would not recommend this room to others'

'Nice place and nice location. But very thin walls and when a car parked in our spot and then was idling from 445 am to 5 am we didn't get any more sleep. When we asked the manager why that spot isn't for the room we were we were immediately given an odd and defensive reaction and were told we were staying in the cheapest($200) room and that we should have contacted her...at 445 in the morning! Not sure how to do that since the staff was all gone at 3 pm night before. Not sure why if you're in...

'Only negative is the third bed was not made and we had only 2 sets of towels. After asking we tot the art of towels and linnen but had to make the bed ourself'

Upon arrival, we received an incredibly warm and festive greeting by staff, a delicious glass of wine, and a run down of the property amenities and suggestions for local activities and attractions. There notified us of some damage to the original room I booked by previous guests, and they were nice enough to upgrade us to a larger, poolside suite at no extra charge. 'Charging for parking is ridiculous. It’s not even a secure parking lot. Rooms are old, but clean and some updates. It really is more like a motel with no interior hallways and rooms facing the parking lot on all sides. I do appreciate that the prices have not been jacked up like some of the other hotels in the area that are just simple hotels.'

'This is a charming old-world experience in a well-maintained hotel set in the redwoods beside the Russian River. Rooms are smalll, but clean and comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the river, which we enjoyed. The staff was helpful and friendly. The owner is obviously very proud of his establishment and dedicated to making it a good experience for his patrons. The breakfast is ample. The attached restaurant provides a German cuisine.'
