'My wife & I stayed at the Beeley Inn last night, everything about the stay was really good from the check in, the outdoor drinking areas, the dinner and the breakfast. The room was not massive but it was absolutely fine. The staff were always very friendly and polite. Definitely worth another trip. The breakfast was superb.'

'Firstly, the only reason I haven't given this hotel a terrible score is because of the staff. They were friendly, welcoming and did their best to help. Unfortunately, The Devonshire Arms was a real disappointment considering the £180 we paid for one night. I genuinely wouldn't recommend paying more than £100 per night. 'Excellent value for money'

'Do not use the postcode alone as it takes you further up the road to the wrong property. Only stayed for 2 nights while we did the big hike marathon but the property was very nice, it could do with a little TLC for minor things on the decor but nothing that really bothered us. Very close to Bakewell & a lovely pub over the road with nice food & service. Bit tight on parking but we managed to get on no problem. All in all a lovely stay & would like to return again.'

'Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome.'

'Wow! The most beautiful nights stay at The Peacock, the scenery, the room, the food, the staff. I didn't want to leave. I LOVED the little touches - the Peacock shortbread, the glass bottles for water/milk, bath salts. I've stopped in a lot of hotels and I have to say this stay beats them all. Perfect! Thanks so much. I hope to be back soon.'

'No communication at all from property for 5 days after booking - so tried to cancel as needed specific requirement. - ignored again and got charged for '

'Average stay, tv not receiving signal, boiler broke down, although owner came out to fix within a few hours. Very poor welcome pack (small bottle of milk). No logs or kindling for log burner. View from back of cottage spoilt by messy and junk strewn garden. Nice location with good pubs in village that did good food, just check what days they open.'
