The hotel is beautiful and you cannot beat the views! I was disappointed my room was in another building. Traveling alone I would have felt better in the main building. I was disappointed that I upgraded my room and it was literally a concrete square--- high walls, no views. Unable to use due to the room beside's air conditioner running and it was beyond noisy. Staff was pleasant.

The room type booked was the room type assigned. We would have been more than willing to move up a floor so you could have seen a alley city view. It was a pleasure have you here with us. Okay i stayed may 1-4 i loved it everything was so close even tho i was denied water and it was complementary everything else was great they have literally everything around u u don’t have to really plan anything drinks are a 10 wish they serve more than wine in the office staff is so friendly i love how comfortable they made me i had to switch my room on the 3rd but it was fast i wish they had people take u to your room i was searching for my room for over like 6min until a maid helped me i had to walk to the 3rd floor just to get to the second floor

The property was clean and well kept. Parking is definitely an issue but, overall I enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend King Christian Hotel.

The King Christian is a beautiful hotel on the outside. Inside it has very little customer service, needs maintenance everyday. Sarah and another young lady working the desk last night (4/13) are the only ones who really seem on top of it. The older women staffing the desk seem inconvenienced by any guest. Our air conditioner was not working two of five days. Thank goodness the younger women were working. They got right on it. The first person we reported it to told us they would get to it. Sarah got right on the radio and it was fixed. One morning we were awakened by drilling on the roof above us at 7:30. When my husband went to see what was up they said he wasn’t supposed to start til 9. Had to ask for toilet paper refills and water every day. Never had the hand soap in the lobby restroom refilled despite several requests. Another afternoon we came back to no elevator. I know it’s an island but this just got comical. Management needs to be somewhere?? As for the restaurants associated with hotel, one was closed and the other wanted reservations no matter that there wasn’t anyone in there at the time. I do a lot of research before booking. The other reviews sounded good. Hope someone reads this one and sees the real hotel.

I booked at the King Christian Hotel and was bumped to a side hotel. The room was quiet but moldy. Like disgustingly moldy. It was a quarter of an inch off the inside of the closet door. The floor was sticky and smelled like mildew. Not sure how it could have been fixed but Keisha tried. There were no rooms available. Please be sure to book at the hotel you want. Call them directly.

When I booked my room, I booked a room with a balcony. Instead, we were brought to another building offsite with no employees with no balcony and three flights of steps to climb with luggage. I am 72 years old. The area next to my room was a vacant lot that seems to be a dumping ground for trash, although housekeeping were wonderful and kind and sweet the room was nothing I expected. I asked multiple times even to be put into a smaller lower room. Accommodations were not available. The room has no dresser for clothes only for hangers in the room. Although they claim the room is safe and the gate is locked the open area is access to anyone and everyone. If you need a towel, you must go and walk over to the main building which is offsite.

Unfortunately for you we were 100% occupied given you stayed on one of are busiest time of year. We definitely would have upgraded you for free or shift you to our ground floor if we had the space. We loved being on the boardwalk and so close to shops and restaraunts. The staff was friendly. We did not like that we had to change rooms because we had two reservations for our stay - one my company booked for business and one my spouse and I booked for two additional nights at the beginning of our trip. According to the hotel, we could not continue in our same room (even though they were the same room type and price) because expedia reservations are assigned to a particular room. This made no sense to us. This was a major disruption to our trip as we had to move out and wait for the second room to be ready and for a repair to be made.The second room we had only had one chair while the other had two, the shower was open to the bedroom, there was no mirror at the sink for shaving and makeup, and the entry and bathroom doors stuck. The bath door would not shut. The hotel staff sanded the entry door, but it still stuck. The shower ran out of hot water after about one minute. We liked this location, but if we book again we will check on the room quality ahead of time.

I needed a room last minute and figured this was a great option given location. Lobby was nice, room was just fine… everything seemed ok until I turned on the bathroom faucet and brown water flowed. very thin walls with lots of ruckus on streets below all hours of night. Didn’t feel safe and I’ve stayed in some rough spots. The room was $380. I found to be way overpriced, no water in room/mini bar, no snacks available for purchase. Bare boned consumer approach. I’d have been fine with so long the price was reasonable and the water is usable. But that wasn’t the case. Staff wasn’t St Croix friendly either. Room service lady wasThe next morning I was consistently bothered with knocks every 15 minutes. it become apparent management was pushing them to consistently knock/bother and push me to checkout when I made it clear I was going to leverage as much time as I could given my flight wasn’t til 5:50. They required a checkout at 11. I asked for more time thinking they’d say no problem. They required another $100 charge for 1 hour. So all in, a $489 room for one night, no water, no options for snacks, and a pushy staff that didn’t seem to care about customer service. Normally I just chalk losses up and don’t spend the time leaving reviews to blast a hard working biz. But after this experience, I felt compelled to spare someone of the same. St Croix is awesome and the locals are great. Unimpressed. Be ready to be lighter in wallet, dehydrated and leave w/o brushing teeth

The property was beautiful. The hotel is in a historic building. There is restaurants on the ground level. The lobby is beautifully decorated with wine and water drinks available. The pool on the second floor is a exceptional. A place you want to be. My sister in law and I had a bay view room with a balcony overlooking the water. The room was beautifully decorated with a great shower and separate sink area. I am sorry that we only had one night to stay there. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We only stayed over a Tuesday night. The restaurants were closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The ice cream store and coffee store with pastries was open. But the hotel is on the boardwalk and you can get food at a few different places. I have nothing but praise for this hotel.

As a property the hotel is fairly nice. It's centrally and conveniently located. It's historic. It's nicely decorated. It has some decent amenities. It was really the service that I found lacking. If it wasn't so expensive I wouldn't necessarily expect a high degree of professionalism. But it is, so I was honestly a bit surprised by how surly many of the staff seemed in response to even the most benign and unintrusive interactions, how little attention to detail there was, and frankly how unprofessional some of their behavior was. For example, one afternoon while sitting by the pool, I was treated to a ten-minute-long, expletive-filled screaming match between members of the staff over who hadn't watered somethig, or watered it too much, or something. I don't know. They weren't yelling at me, so I just tried to ignore it. But it certainly didn't make the experience of sitting by the pool particularly relaxing or enjoyable, even though it's quite a nice pool--setting aside the fact that poolside bar was literally never open the entire time we were there. Similarly, we went to one of the property's restaurants for brunch one day and waited an hour and a half for burritos. "Island time" is one thing, but that's something entirely different. Bottom line: it just seems like a place someone spent a lot of money trying to turn into a premiere property and then kind of abandoned to staff who are completely bored or visibly frustrated with their work.

It's a great room only few things needs improvement such as the room gets cold its need a those thick blankets that usually come in hotels....Also not trying to get any staff in trouble but before the other guests check in the room needs to cleaned properly....be besides those concerns its convenient, they're great food spots around and the view was breathtaking

All staff was excellent, from the reception to the cleaning staff. Pool was clean. El Leon was good. We definitely didn’t like that we couldn’t turn off the porch light & the fan remote was not in the room so we couldn’t use the fan but overall we would definitely stay there again.

We checked in and were given a "shoe box" for a room. I've never seen a hotel room that small. I went to the front desk to ask for an upgrade and she told me that there were no rooms left. She got an attitude when we dropped off our luggage while I parked the car. (Good luck finding a parking spot.) We later found out that other rooms were available. We moved to another hotel. Horrible customer service. Never again.

The room you wished to be upgraded to was not available but we did have other options in which you were move to in our newly renovated extension of King Christian Hotel. Ownership removed all coffee makers from rooms and lobby making guests wait until the hotel-owned coffee shop opens at 7:00 am or drive to a local gas station for coffee. They don’t get that this item alone makes us decide that we won’t stay there again. We stay 8 days/month on the island and will go back to the other resort.

We appreciate you staying with us. It was a pleasure serving you. As you experienced where we are located it all street parking. However we are working hard to make guest parking an available amenity.
