'De prijs voor een overnachting in dit hotel is hoog in vergelijking met andere 4/5 sterren hotels in China. We hadden dus hoge verwachtingen.Dat viel in eerste instantie heel erg tegen. We kregen een klein kamertje met uitzicht op een bouwput. Toen ik hiermee geen genoegen nam en dreigde weg te gaan, kregen we een grotere kamer met beter uitzicht. Het ontbijt van het hotel is prima en ze hebben heerlijke koffie. Ook het uitzicht vanuit het restaurant is mooi. Je kijkt over de Bund en de rivier....

'what I like about the renaissance hotel is mainly the atmosphere in the hotel. A lot of chinese hotels are beautiful but overwhelming huge. Too high ceilings, too much marmor. The renaissance is more boutique like with good sound and atmosphere. Everything is there, very comfortable but not overdone'

"The hotel is very well placed in a touristic area with the metro at walking distance. Many food options and shops close by. The hotel itself is nice but it is not the greatest mind blowing entrance and service. However, for the price which was decent and considering it is so close to the bund and yu garden, there is nothing to complain about. Also the staff was kind. We had a room with a roof terrace. It was cold during those days but I can definitely see people make use of it more on warmer days. It is a nice addition. I would definitely recommend this place and if there's a chance I would return here."

"Luxe hotel, maar erg gedateerd. Airco koelde niet , maar kon alleen verwarmen. Het was 26 graden op de kamer. Heb het raam maar opengezet om te koelen.
