'Reading the other reviews it feels like maybe we got unlucky with our room allocation but beware that the room categories and photographs on Expedia do not match the ones at the hotel; and the ones on the hotel website also do not match the rooms you will be given as they show photos mixed from all categories in each one. We booked a superior thinking it would be the nicest and expecting the amenities listed like a king bed, rainfall shower, workspace etc, it had none of these and was a quite...

'A truly excellent and charming location. A charming, independent garden outside with a fire pit, table, and chairs. The interior is even more magnificent, well-maintained, and above all, equipped with everything you need... meticulously crafted. The table that converts to a bed was a simple but brilliant idea, the bathroom is enormous for a cabin, and the stove is truly wonderful. The only downside is the very narrow road leading to it; unfortunately, there's not much you can do about it... but...

'Shower was great (if small) and the homemade shortbread was a nice little touch my son enjoyed as part of his breakfast. The breakfasts were also really good. They were very flexible on items on the full English and the ingredients were good quality with proper sausages, thick bacon and thick slices of good bread. The two women working there were great and the service was excellent though. They told another guest they only took it on last year and are doing it up but they need to either do it...

'Goede kamer, wel met gedeelde badkamer, wat voor ons geen probleem was. Wel had het wat schoner gekund en het is heel gehorig. Op vrijdagavond waren er veel dronken mensen buiten aan het schreeuwen tot midden in de nacht, gelukkig hadden we oordoppen mee. Er is een keuken, waar je je ontbijt/eten kan klaarmaken met koelkast, dus dat is fijn! '

'Everything the hotel lacked wss completely made up by the excellent service offered by Margueite. Thank you for your efforts and understanding.'

'Enough space for 6 of us, 2 adults, 3 kids and a dog. The house was arranged with the bedrooms and bathroom downstairs and the living quarters upstairs. The boys enjoyed the football table and PS4, and the dog enjoyed the small private garden and the enclosed field across the road. The property was clean and well looked after, and whilst very close to the House, we didn't hear any noise from our neighbours.'

'Amazing quiet and beautiful'

'The owner was absolutely lovely! I had some inspiring conversations with her when I was breakfasting on my own about some travel destinations that interest me and that she has been to. I couldn't fault this place really other than I was staying during unprecedented heatwave and my attic room was very hot. Something that cannot be helped though, I appreciate!'

'No breakfast included'

'Enjoyable stay at what is perhaps best described as a fantastic restaurant with rooms. The restaurant overlooks the water and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. However our room was landside, with only a view of Irsha Street. Although small, the room and facilities were excellent. Fresh milk in the fridge is always much appreciated by us tea drinkers.'
