Rustige familie georiënteerde retraite

Welkom bij het toevluchtsoord Calor Nest in Manitou Springs! Onze buurt ligt verscholen in de heuvels met een prachtig uitzicht rondom. Een verblijf in onze gezellige plek is de perfecte ruimte om uit te rusten na het verkennen van het centrum van Manitou, het beklimmen van de Manitou Incline, wandelen in de Garden of the Gods of wandelen door Old Colorado City. Pikes Peak is recht voor de deur en Red Rock Canyon Open Space heeft veel prachtige paden die toegankelijk zijn vanuit onze buurt.

We hebben onze kelder omgebouwd tot een mooie 3 slaapkamers / 1 badkamer unit inclusief een kitchenette / wasruimte met uitgebreide updates voor een fris en comfortabel gevoel. U heeft een eigen ingang via de staking patiodeur. We wonen boven met onze nieuwste aanwinst, onze baby! We hebben ook een oudere hond Chai, en we hebben net een puppy verwelkomd, Nala, die graag nieuwe mensen ontmoet.

Hoewel de binnenkant uitgebreid is bijgewerkt, is de buitenkant nog steeds een work in progress. Wees geduldig met ons, want we brengen het op één lijn met de binnenruimte! We hebben onze plaats dienovereenkomstig geprijsd omdat we onlangs zijn begonnen met hosting.
We stellen ook alle feedback op prijs die we hebben over hoe we onze ruimte kunnen verbeteren!

Roken is absoluut verboden op ons terrein binnen en buiten. Als u op ons terrein rookt, wordt u gevraagd te vertrekken. Als we bewijs vinden dat roken heeft plaatsgevonden, wordt dit in uw openbare recensie genoteerd en wordt een boete in rekening gebracht. Dit is om ons gezin, ons huis en het volgende gezin dat in de ruimte blijft te beschermen.

Modern, Clean, and Convenient

Modern remodeled basement unit. Listing was accurate, owners were very friendly and helpful, great young family. Location is super convenient to many local attractions and downtown Manitou. We had plenty of room and all the normal amenities and things you would expect, especially in the kitchen/bathroom. Very clean and fresh upon arrival, we had a great time here. 1 Con: The owners live above, there is a lot of noise from upstairs. It's just normal family activity, but be aware some days may be worse than others, however it did not go late and we were able to sleep with no worries.

The price was not worth the stay. Had to walk around the house to get in,no front door, steps not explained older people could not make it in, owners live above and are very loud night and day. Just disappointed for the cost.

Clean & Great Location

Our stay at the Calor Nest was wonderful. The host family was very nice and gave us good suggestions on what to see. The rental is in a walkout basement of their home and was extremely clean, with a homey feel and a nice amount of natural light. Their dog was very sweet and would hang out on the patio by the door. Being able to see Garden of the Gods from their patio with a cup of coffee was very relaxing.

We enjoyed our stay at the Calor Nest. Communication with the hosts was great. Check in couldn’t have been easier. We had everything we needed and some extras. We thoroughly enjoyed their sweet pup Nala. She snuggled with me as I read a book in the back yard. Would stay here again and bring our kids.

Nice, but hot and not very peaceful

Excellent location. Beautiful lot. Nala the dog is an absolute doll!! Wonderful family of 5 that owns it and lives upstairs. The unit is esthetically well done. We had everything we needed. A couple big downsides though. There was very uneven climate control. One floor a/c unit in the livingroom area and fans in bedrooms. The bedrooms were very hot (Aug). I slept on the couch and put every fan we could find in my sons room. Also, I would not recommend this for people who want to rest, it is very noisy, especially early in the morning. I understand it is the owners house, I just think renters should be made aware that it is going to be very noisy and not necessarily "peaceful".

5 Gals from Wisconsin loved the Peaceful Family Oriented Retreat

We stayed from Aug. 2nd - 5th, 2024. As one of the Gals stated in the coffee table book, "We could not have stayed at a better place." We were all so impressed with many things including the cozy house, lovely touches of comfort, loved the family and their dog, who live upstairs, the views are awesome, close to many attractions and we all agreed we would stay there again if in the Manitou Springs area. :)

Great place to unwind for a family

Great location, and it's just like staying at home. Family of four will not be disappointed. If you like to come back to a quiet neighborhood to decompress after a day of hiking and shopping, this is your location. Host family was great as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our bonus time with Nala, greeting us with a tail wag and nose bump whenever we came back.

Great Location and Wonderful Hosts

We have a wonderful stay, and this downstairs property was perfect for our family of five. It was clean and had everything that we needed. The family who lives upstairs is so kind and helpful, and my kids loved playing with their kids and dog. We loved that there were hiking trails so close, and it was super convenient to downtown Manitou Springs and the Garden of the Gods!

Great property and location!

Came to Manitou Springs for a quick weekend getaway with my dad and brother. Property was in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown and a short drive to Old Colorado City. Check-in was a breeze and the property was perfect for us. Thoughtful amenities and very clean. Would highly recommend this property!

We very much enjoyed staying at Caleb and Taylor's property. The location was extremely convenient for accessing downtown Manitou, the Cliff Dwellings and Pikes Peak. It is obvious that they want to ensure a pleasant stay for their guests, as the house is well stocked, clean and welcoming. They were immediately available for any questions we had. Will stay here again!

Perfect Family Getaway

We had an amazing week at the Calor Nest! Everything has been very well thought out down to every detail. The furniture and beds were very comfortable, and there were movies to watch and games to play with our kids. We loved being able to come back and relax in-between our adventures and it felt like a home away from home. Our family loved getting up early to see the mule deer that came into the yard every morning and the views of Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak were fantastic. There is a great park nearby to walk to and Red Rock Canyon Trailhead is right up the road! We loved getting to know Caleb and Taylor. They gave us plenty of privacy but we’re always available to give advice, chat, and really make us feel welcome to the area. We also enjoyed greetings from their dogs Nala and Chai.
