'Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.'

'We took a bad start as the property was without electricity when we arrived (a problem of the whole area) but after that was solved, everything in our stay was perfect; The host gives us friendly service of breakfast and the restaurant was FABULOUS, with nice wines and excellent food. I had lobster and enjoyed every bit of it. The garden is pleasant to sit in with a good beer, they have several good beers on tap. I would stay again.'

'Beautiful location for this really special place to stay. We had two night here. Although we didn’t have great weather, it hardly altered as the hotel has lots of cosy places to sit and look out on the truly stunning gardens. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Thank you to whoever found my husbands watch and called us so we were not too far away to come back for it! Another highlight is the hotel’s own soap products which smell amazing and are available to buy. Sadly they had run out...

'Fijne locatie, de eigenaresse June is heel vriendelijk en gastvrij. Auto voor de deur op eigen terrein parkeren. Gezellige en nette kamer. Leuke tuin erbij, ontbijtruimte met genoeg keuze. Op loopafstand van het centrum met verschillende restaurants. '

'Such a wonderful property, and the rooms are so very clean and comfortable. We slept so well, and were treated quite nicely. Kate is such a lovely host, and her brekkie is top-notch. We enjoyed chatting with her as we ate, and found her delightful and helpful. The farm setting is so peaceful (for us guest that is, a lot of hard work for owners), and the location is great for visiting the Lizard and other places around south Cornwall. 'Stayed 6 nights in this lovely hotel. Staff is super friendly and helpful, very professional. Hotel location is in beautiful Roseland area, pretty central in Cornwall. Breakfast and dinner in hotel is a feast, very relaxed atmosphere with tasty dishes and amazing ocean view. Room is clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable. Parking is easy and plenty of space. 'Oud hotel, maar dan in positieve zin. Nog steeds comfortabel en gemoderniseerd op passende wijze. Goed bed, mooi uitzicht, fijn sanitair, prima roomservice. Aardige bediening. Fijne ligging net uit de drukte van het echte centrum.'

'Slechte bedden, veel te klein en door gelegen. In de spa werden geen handdoeken gebruikt in de sauna, de hamman stinkt naar zweet. Veel achterstallig onderhoud en slechte herstellingen aan de tegels, douches…etc uitgeleefd. Kinderen mochten niet in het bubbelbad, kinderen mochten maar beperkt in het zwembad op bepaalde tijden. Werk personeel wandelde met vieze schoenen zonder bescherming door het zwembad. Bij het ontbijt ontbraken broodjes. Een beetje vergane glorie. En de tafel bij het onthaal...
