'Owner was very personable and helpful. The cabin is vintage without a lot of modern upgrades, but that is what makes it charming. Kind of like stepping into a 1940's lakeside resort. It had all of the proper necessities, fridge, microwave, stove, kitchen wares, etc. It was clean and comfortable. Cable tv worked fine. They supplied some wood for a campfire which was nice and each cabin has their own firepit. The lake is beautiful and we could launch our kayaks from the edge beyond the seawall,...

'Did not know there would be no bath towels or sheets on the bed , Had to drive into Alpena 30 min away to but towels wash cloth and sheets , was not happy about that'

'Our keypad lock ran out of battery & we were locked out of our property with 3 children under the age of 7 at 8:00 at night. No one was able to get us into the cottage until after 9:15. No key is available- we were told we could call a locksmith( on our dollar ) . A cleaning lady and maintenance man came to try and help us.
