'Last week room had no furniture except bed and desk. Found out in true Alaska style the truck with the new furnishings for the entire hotel has yet to arrive. They are doing their best! Also excellent salmon fishing in the river across the street. Enjoy!'

'This is by far equivalent to a 5 Star hotel. The only word that could best describe the entire experience is exquisite. Gwen and Sheila (mother/daughter) were so personable. The room was perfect and the breakfast was healthy and such a beautiful presentation. We loved relaxing in the hot tub while we were washing our clothes in the washer and dryer they provided. If their goal was perfection, they nailed it! Also a bonus was a fabulous and healthy restaurant within 5 miles called South Side...
