'We absolutely loved our stay. The property is immersed in nature, close but far enough from Seward. The cabins are basic but this is really the point. The highlight of our stay was surely the friendliness of Gary (the manager/owner) and even his friends. A true pearl, a true local stay. Kids loved it too! The only place we stayed in Alaska that had its own playground, close to the lake. No small feat!'

'This cabin seriously blew me away with the uniqueness that it was built with. The host gave us a tour of all of his custom built cabins that he has on the property and was thoughtful enough to gift us a bottle of champagne for my girlfriend’s birthday. 'The house is great. Many neat touches. Owners spent a lot of time and effort to make a nice home. Crossing the railroad tracks to get to lake added to the experience. Only item that makes us not give it a 10 rating is the stairs to the door from parking area. Suggestion would be a landing area to manage luggage and top stair needs to be leveled.'

'A cozy cabin with all the essentials but running water AKA Dry. Comfortable queen bed, pull out couch and a loft with couple of coats which we did not need or used. Small fridge and microwave. Chuck had a freezer in the cabin and allowed us to store our salmon during the stay. Chuck and Dorothy were gracious in setting up a propane cook top outside and also provided a pot, pan, dishes and cutlery which were perfect for the two of us making breakfast and dinner. 'Very comfortable house. Owners were attentive if we had any questions, but otherwise gave us our space. Very convenient location! We made use of the hot tub and fire pit. Lots of covered space to keep shoes, waders, boots, poles, etc. WiFi worked well.'

Amazing view of and access to the Kenai River! Only drawbacks are: road noise since you are on the busy Sterling Highway and no table inside to play games or sit everyone around for a meal. Outside picnic table is provided. Also, step up into the bedroom and bath area from the LR/kitchen is a bit hazardous...
