The owner, Gary, is an absolute gentleman and an incredible host who makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. His passion for the early days of cinema shines through in every corner of the property. It is the perfect place to unwind, surrounded by history and unmatched hospitality. I cannot recommend it enough!'

'The room was spacious and clean. We stayed for a sporting tournament and had close access to local coffee, Whole Foods, and eateries. Beds were comfortable. Staff was attentive and friendly. 10min walk to convention center. The hotel felt safe but typical downtown once you step outside. Would book again for how clean everything was and for how comfortable the beds were.'

'There was no breakfast included. The room was very hot & they brought us a fan. The room was not ready & we had to put our luggage in a holding room. It was very nice to have the coffee & hairdryer & microwave & refrigerator in the room. However, no one replaced the coffee that we drank after the 1st day or the dirty towels. I had to ask for them. Over priced for what we received. It was very convenient to the ICC & Gainesville Fieldhouse.'

'We stayed here for half of our trip, I was not happy with the change and wish I would have stayed at first hotel. From the moment we got our room to the end of the couple of days I wasn’t a fan and will not ever stay at a Fairfield again. Fridge didn’t work had to get it fixed, awful smell in the room like mildew. Smell was so bad that we moved rooms after first night. First day they did no room service. We moved rooms so we had clean stuff and empty trash because of that. No room service...

'The room we had was great. It was spacious and the tall ceilings made it feel even more spacious. The elevator needed some repairs because most of the handrails were falling off. Depending on what kind of experience you want, this location was located near a few bars with people enjoying themselves.'

'While we found the staff to be friendly and helpful, the problem with the hotel is the location. It is right next to the bus station, and on a busy street (S. Delaware) that has LOUD cars and motorcycles racing by at all hours of the night. In addition, there is a lot of homeless people around the building. There is an abandoned building across the street on E. Washington and a number of homeless hang out there. We also saw a guy on drugs bent over and just standing there in a daze. I...
