'Clean property. Close to Custer for convenience of groceries and restaurants. Close to Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Bungalow was very small. Pictures I fell were taken from angles that did not portray just how small it was. The air did not work. At first it did not blow any air, we contacted the host and they had quick response and sent maintenance out. They were not sure what the problem was and we were leaving for the day. 'The Pondside Lodge was a splendid place to stay for our trip to South Dakota! The lodge is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The living room picture window looks out over the pond and the Needles are clearly visible in the distance. It is a very relaxing location - quiet and lovely. We saw turkeys and deer every day going to and from the lodge. The lodge is a short drive to the Custer Wildlife Loop (spectacular!), the Needles Highway (amazing!), and Sylvan Lake (stunning!). 'Property is renovated, within walking distance to downtown. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but had nor issues during stay. Host was prompt on response to messages.'

'Very convenient location. Good suggestions for places to eat. Some maintenance issues. Sofa isn’t very comfortable. But, the total cost for 4 nights was about 400. Definitely worth it. We needed a/c and heat. Both worked fine. Good hot water. Needs more dishes and flatware. '

'The set up was perfect, it had a living room as well as a kitchenette, a good size bathroom and a decent sized bedroom. There is laundry on site. We stayed about a month. I would highly recommend for short term stays and long term stays. I liked that no one bothered us. Some of the other places nearby, hover over you and it’s not relaxing, especially places that offer breakfast. There’s a nice grass area for the dogs too and an area where you can bbq. Great value, great stay.'

'Was a great location for where we needed to be for the weekend. Overall place was alright. Attention to cleaning as light/fan in bathroom was gross, as well as both a/c units. The microwave didnt work so couldnt reheat any meals. Prices were good compared to other places. '
