'We were in town for a funeral. Check in was at 1:00 pm and the funeral was at 2:00. We got to the hotel at 12:45 and the reception was extremely rude. Besides the room being bigger than average and a bathtub that can fit 2 people , it’s a basic stay. Large room but with the basics like anywhere else wich makes the unused space feel kinda wasted. 'This hotel lacks corporate investment. The rooms are clean, but amenities are scarce. There is just one fast food restaurant in this casino and Cattleman restaurant is open for 4 hours day and no room service or breakfast on site. You have to pray for door dash. The Louisiana Board walk is Zombie movie set. I was so disappointed. Food was aweful. I went to KFC and went back Texas.'

'Everything was in order and it is not some run down house. Big place with a lot of old times interior and wood carving. The outside is big and great for sitting in peace. I liked the location for getting up to the national forest but also to Lake Bistenau and of course around town. '

'This was my second stay at this location. For some reason the exterior doors were poorly sealed (2x). Many small bugs flying around room. Had to jam towel in door gaps to try and mitigate.'

'Staff was very friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast was too small to feed entire hotel. Elevator broke when I was in it. Construction going on with no warning on website. Several charges to my room still pending a week later with no action taken after I have called several times.'

'There was open soap wrappers and the luggage holder was rusted and covered in paint. Majority highway noise all night and bed was rock hard. Breakfast wasn’t nothing great but was good enough yogurt fruit toast waffles eggs and sausage. Pool was clean and seemed like a okay area the residents were quiet. Outside the building was clean and gave plenty of towels in the room.'
