Comfort is basic overall and the owners offer the option to have lunch and dinner on site with good local food. 'Eine sehr schöne Lodge inmitten der Natur. Nur mit dem Boot erreichbar. Hatten hier als einzige der Unterkünfte in CR das Gefühl, dass Ausflüge sehr gepuscht werden und recht hochpreisig sind. Viele Delfine im Golfo Dulce… hatten diese mit dem Feldstecher vom Steg aus beobachtet. Rückblickend hätten wir anstelle der Rivertour die Delfintour gebucht - wollten aber zum Schluss unsere Reise nur noch geniessen und dies konnten wir hier bestens.'

'Playa Cativo Lodge is a wonderful place and the accommodations, food and staff were absolutely perfect. It was nice to be so close to the gulf which was calm, warm, sandy and perfect for swimming. My only complaint was that the entire front area of the lodge has been landscaped with grass and ornamental plants, many of which are not native. Because of this large open area few birds or animals come near the lodge. Bird watching was disappointing compared to lodges that have left the rainforest...

'Return trip after many years. Hear/see ocean from room. Wildlife easily spotted.housekeeping and gardens were very clean. Rooms well constructed especially bathroom ( nothing fancy but solidly built). Customer service and waitstaff need hospitality training. Guests seemed like an inconvenience.(Booking and administration were very responsive helping with Corcovado tour. ) Unfortunately,if the only contact a guest has is with employees that seemingly don’t want to be there then the whole place...

'Wonderful property. Staff picked us up at the beach after our wet landing boat ride from Sierpe. Room #11 was perfect for an couple with an lovely patio including a hammock overlooking the river and ocean. Breakfast included with lunch and dining to purchase, all food options were very beautiful presentation, delicious and reasonably priced. Property is well kept with beautiful landscape and steps to the beach. A mile w allow into town took 30minutes or front desk can call a local taxi for $10....

'Insgesamt ein wirklich schönes Hotel in traumhafter Lage. Unser Zimmer hatte einen wunderschönen Blick aufs Meer. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Ansonsten wirkte der Service eher unmotiviert. Obwohl es sehr ruhig im Hotel war, waren die Bedienung bei den Mahlzeiten manchmal längere Zeit nicht anwesend. Leider waren die Mahlzeiten eher unterdurchschnittlich. 'L'endroit est parfait pour explorer Baie Drake et en étant un peu retiré pour la tranquillité. Sebastian le proprio offre le service de taxi pour un prix très raisonnable. Le balcon donne sur les arbres et les singes viennent à cet endroit. Sécuritaire pour aller seule à pied au village le soir avec lampe frontale. 1 km de la mer et 2 km du village. Super endroit confortable et chaleureux.'
