Hoge plafonds, pleisterwerk, schuiframen, open haarden en massieve houten vloeren en deuren. Ingericht naar een hoge standaard met smeedijzeren spiegels, tafels en stoelen met de hand gesmeed. This is a truly historic home with many modern amenities. John is a phenomenal host and resource for conveniences in the area, recomnendations for "must sees" and all things Ireland. There was enough space for all of us to be together - yet enough space so you did not have to live together all week. Very convenient location within walking distance of most Dublin attractions. A beautifully curated piece of history with all the charms of home. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Dublin

Wonderful!

Wonderful stay. This was one of the only options for a large family and infant in the city- and it was perfect for 5 adults and 5 month old for 3 nights. The house was FULLY stocked which is so great when traveling. Plenty of space. Such a charming house. John was lovely and helpful.

Our stay in Dublin was lovely! Although in an older neighborhood in Dublin, the house is within walking distance of all the places you might want to visit. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for our 6-night stay. John was a charming and accommodating host!

My family and I enjoyed our stay in this large, charming, and comfortable house in Dublin. John is a wonderful host and provides a wealth of information for visitors. Some of the great features include:- 3 full bedrooms (1 on ground floor & 2 upstairs, including the master) with ample storage space- 1 full bath with shower & tub- full kitchen (with large fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kitchen table, along with combo clothes washer/dryer unit)- den/family room- patio sitting area- street parking on a relatively quiet street- located within walking distance of restaurants and landmarksThe artwork and books throughout the home added extra warmth and charm. John, the host, was so amazing! He left a ton of recommendations and information for us to look at, and met us at the property when we arrived to walk us through the house and show us everything! The house was also extremely clean, and I am a clean freak so I check things like the baseboards etc, everything was immaculately kept and the original charm was awesome! We would definitely recommend this property!

An excellent property in the heart of Dublin.

Upon check in host gave a tour of the property and gave a bunch of recommendations of things in the area that were worth checking out. The house had plenty of room for the 5 of us was well maintained. Host was friendly, communicative, and helpful The place is located next to several transit stops that made it easy to get to any part of the city quickly. Also it was quite easy to walk to most places in Dublin given how centrally located the place is. Our flight out of Dublin was pretty early (2 in the morning) and the host was able to offer a solution of the check out being that early. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is traveling in a group that wants to see everything Dublin has to offer.

This place is spacious! Big rooms, 1 large bathroom, nice kitchen and eating/gathering space. Host John is very gracious and a great communicator! Lots of recommendations from him. Location is 20--30 walk to central Dublin or you can hop on public transportation easily. Sleeps 6 comfortably. One bathroom can be challenging for a full house. Parking on the street is open and easy. Kitchen has lots of amenities that are great for saving money on eating out. We made breakfast and dinner almost every day. Extra pillows on the beds would make this a 5 star stay.

Amazing Victorian Townhouse

We really enjoyed our stay in Dublin in this amazing townhouse. John welcomed us upon arrival, gave us a tour of the house, had lovely lilies on the shelf, milk in the fridge for morning coffee. We immediately felt at home. The kitchen was well stocked with absolutely everything one might need to cook their own meals. There is a lovely little terrace just outside the kitchen where one can have their morning coffee / dinner. We would definitely stay at John’s townhouse if we are fortunate enough to travel to Dublin again.

Wochende in Dublin

Das Wochende hat uns Männern gut gefallen. Die Lage des Hauses war 10 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt und somit alles fussläufig zu erreichen. Leider ist das Haus schon in die Jahre gekommen und es sollte etwas saniert werden. Bad müsste erneuert werden und die Toilettenspülung war nicht in Ordnung. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich.

Location, Location and Location

My husband and I stayed a month. We walked everywhere. John was there to greet us on the first day and he was so accommodating. He actually brought us on a tour of the neighborhood on the second day. Anytime we had a question or a problem he helped us. We have been coming to Dublin for years and we never had the opportunity to explore this side of the city.

Great location

The history on the flat is wonderful and it is well placed between the airport and within a mile of most tourist attractions. The property manager reached out several times to check on us and give suggestions for nearby places to visit that were not as touristy. The neighborhood was dirty but not sure I could take a star off for that since the seagulls are to blame, kind of. I did take one star off for the mattresses. We all woke up daily with pain in our backs. Overall we all had a wonderful time.

Beautiful Home! John is an amazing host.

One of the coolest homes we’ve ever stayed in. It’s in immaculate condition, maintained beautifully. There were fresh flowers placed all throughout which was such a nice touch. All of the furniture and decorations felt so well thought out, like a curated space in a museum. The back garden area was a dream come true for those who want to spend some time outside but be covered from the elements should there be inclement weather. John met us at the house to check us in showed us around to tell us how a few things worked. He has a long list of places to check out, pubs to visit, restaurants to eat at. We went to a lot of his suggested areas and every single one of them were spot-on wonderful. He even invited us to join him for a walk in the Dublin Botanic Gardens, which was so generous and unexpected. Was a wonderful day spent with him and now we can call him a friend as well as a great host.

Wonderful property and a fantastic host!

John was a fantastic host. He was flexible with us about check in and allowed us to drop bags off a few hours early after a long day of travel and an overnight flight. We decided to rent cars a day early before really thinking about where we’d park, and when I asked John about it he had guest passes for us at the ready. On check out day, I locked myself out without taking my car keys (like an idiot), and John met me at the apartment and helped look for the keys and was very zen and accommodating during a quite stressful moment for me and my family. The house itself is historic and cute, and is in a neighborhood of row house dating back to the mid 19th century. John's tasteful selection of art and furniture (many from his own travels) were interesting and made the place feel like a real home. It is located a short walk from the light rail and with a visitor leap card this place is perfect. You can get to the hustle and bustle of downtown in a few minutes, but don't suffer the load and rowdy noise of staying in the touristy bits of city center / Temple Bar. The bedrooms were nice, roomy, and comfortable. The bathroom was nice and large too. Two bathrooms would have been nice considering we were six in number but it’s an old property so completely understandable. We would definitely stay here again, and will be telling our friends about this gem. Thanks John!
