Very nice!
I had a very happy and satisfying stay at this hostel. I enjoyed the best view from my room. The owner brought me lovely and nice breakfasts every morning. She is very nice and friendly. I would love to stay here again sometime in the future.

Abbiamo soggiornato una sola notte.La struttura non è niente di speciale, le foto non rispecchiano la realtà dell'alloggio che comunque è gradevole. Il costo lievita per la presenza di 20€ di pulizie che non erano state menzionate se non alla fine del processo di prenotazione. Per ammortizzare il costo delle pulizie occorre stare più giorni. La sera del nostro arrivo abbiamo fatto la doccia fredda, per un problema risolto il giorno dopo. CI hanno accolto i proprietari della casa, che sono stati cordiali e disponibili.

gut ausgestattetes Apartement relativ hoch am Hang, aber die Benutzung des Lifts vom Hotel Kompas macht eden Weg zum Meer einfacher. Herauszuheben ist die Bereitschaft, mich nach Mitternacht (Flug hatte 9 h Verspätung) zu erwarten und die Koffer den Hang hoch zu tragen!!!

Stayed 3 nights. Photo on booking website is view across bay. About 200 stair steps up from Lapad Promenade; many attractive restaurants and sea views. Limited parking; walked/bussed everywhere. Bus stop to walled city 15 minutes walk. Check-in: No apartment signage, just address. Once there, we phoned from street, and waited a while for someone to come; felt uncertain until checked in. Apartment bright & clean, large balcony/patio, great view. Wifi spotty; dropped several times, slow to come back, always came back eventually. This was our first apartment stay; we didn't understand variability of "house rules". When time to shower, were surprised to find empty built-in soap dispenser. Called manager; he explained this is not a hotel, but an apartment; guests are expected to provide their own supplies. But that seemed odd, as towels (one set/person for stay, no changing), iron/board, dishes, silverware, and dish soap were provided. Why not shower soap? (He soon came back with soap bottle.) We also asked for/received a bed top sheet to fit. We have since learned it's common in Balkan countries to have one twin-sized sheet/blanket per person provided, each sized for half the bed, even in double-/queen-/king-sized bed. Experience has now taught us that for apartments, you must realize there is greater variability in amenities and services provided than hotels; also managers may or may not be as available as in hotel. Carefully read descriptions of any place you stay.

Il ne correspondait pas du tout au photos du site Pour y acceder il fallait monter 74 marches à environ 70° Séniors à PROSCRIRE !! Aucune communication possible car personnes ne parlait le Français La situation pourrait être belle, hormis que cette maison (comme beaucoup dans le quartier de LAPAD) est construite sur le haujt de la colline Et donc hormis les 74 marches de l'acces à l'appartemnet, il faut compter encore 250 marches pour acceder rapidement à cette location, on peut le faire également à pieds en suivant la route goudronnée ......

great place to stay
Would recommend a stay in the room we were in, that was decorated in a blue seaside theme, it was very clean, with large comfy bed and a kitchenette. The breakfast that was delivered each morning was very good and included fresh bread, meat, cheese, jam, fruit, snack, tea/coffee and milk and these were varied each day. Has a very large patio to sit on, I would have liked a sun lounger, so maybe take an air bed There are a lot of steps to the main Lapad resort, but we were happy with the exercise. Very helpful service, from Zorban, who we met at agency near Dubrovnik old town, who then drove us to the apartment on our arrival. He gave us some restaurant tips, which we used and were very good, restaurant Lapad and Orsan.

Fint værelse. God service fra ejeren, som leverede morgenmaden ved døren til værelset om morgenen. Han kørte mig bla. til busstationen da jeg skulle til lufthavnen. Men det lå meget langt væk fra alting, samt der er mange trapper og stejle bakker i området, så det er ikke for dårligt gående.

Unzumutbare Pension
Stimmte überhaupt nicht mit Beschreibung von Expedia überein. Das zweite Zimmer War ein Apartment das wir mit zwei fremden Familien teilen sollten ist unzumutbar. Nach telefonischer Kontaktaufnahme mit Expedia wo wir die Miesstände erklären versuchten wurde uns überhaupt nicht weitergeholfen.Endergebnis Expedia ist nicht weiter zu empfehlen.

Dear guest, in your booking is written that you've booked studio apartment with terrace and double room with terrace. Double room with terrace and private bathroom is situated on same floor where are situated two double rooms which are sharing bathroom. When you said you don't want to stay like that, we offered you whole floor for same price and you've stayed like that for 14 days and said you're happy. We done everything in our power, and this review is more than unfair because you've got 3bedroom apartment with two bathrooms and kitchen, living room, and paying only double room. Free wi-fi, free parking, several times treated with free drinks and fruit...

Super sød vært! Da vi Ankom var der i gang med at blive bygget et nyt hus, som blokerede udsigten, så i stedet havde han sørget for udendørs jacuzzi, som trøst. Familieejet og meget venlige og imødekommende og super hjælpsomme. Ville bestemt anbefale det til andre.

Jos haluaa lämmintä vettä keittiöstä, pitää muistaa kääntää boileri päälle. Keittiö OK varusteltu, keittiöpaperia ei ole ja roskat pitää viedä itse. Parisängyssä yksi peittoviritelmä, eli lakana plus ns. päiväpeitto. Terassi oli iso. Yöllä tuli kylmä. Jos haluaa pitää ovea auki niin valoa tulee samalla, koska valoverhojen sijaan ovissa on säädettävät raot.

We got in late because of the airlines. Grandma was there, felt sorry for us because we were stressed and gave us some beer to try and help unwind us. Now that's being friendly and caring. Can't say enough about the family. Good people. Room was spacious and comfortable. But if you can't climb stairs, don't book this. Heck of a climb up. But is close to the promenade and buses. Only 15 minutes by bus to the old town. If I was younger, I would stay here again. Our room had a beautiful scenic view.

Nice and clean room, but service was not very friendly. We contacted the place a day before about our arrival time but didn't get any answer. When we went there, there wasn't anybody. We had to call to the owner and finally some lady came there who didn't know english at all, it was very difficult to speak with her. For the same reasons we had some problems later and had to call to the owner again.... Otherwise, everything ok.

Hello, The old lady who waited for you is the owner which is 77 years old and owe this guest house for the last 40 years. We are sorry you were disappointed because she is not English speaking, but we all were at work and every time she called us we spoke to you over the phone.

Lovely place! Lovely people!
Great location, close to bus,beach. Owners were wonderful, very accommodating! The only draw back is that you have to climb many stairs to get to it which is difficult! Otherwise, fantastic!

Very nice and clean little place. Cold AC, easy to find from the docks. Relatively close to the old town and close to (very touristic) street with restaurants where good food was found.

Basic room. Good as a place to sleep, wash.
The room was basic, with a bed, wardrobe, bedside drawers and a lamp. No air-con in the room, but some in the shared hallway. No mirror in room, only shared one in bathroom; so take one if you want to style your hair or anything similar in your room. Only one plug socket. I took a double adapter, but if you want to plug in a mosquito repellant etc there aren't enough sockets. Window had shutters, which faced a brick wall. Bedding was lovely white cotton and bed was very comfortable. Small but clean bath towels provided. Shared shower room and toilet was cleaned every day. Kitchen area clean and tidy (we ate out though) and shared TV/dining room OK too. Walk up to the apartments is a fairly steep incline, OK if you're fit or a mountain goat. At the bottom of this incline, you can use the Hotel More's lift, which brings you out in the fantastic Cave Bar More (overlooking the sea) and then a short walk to the beach and attractions/shops etc. We were greeted by an elderly lady, who didn't speak any English. She was lovely and kind and brought us a cold drink upon our arrival. When I asked her where the nearest supermarket was, she tried to point it out as best she could and we thanked her. However, it would have been useful to have some kind of information pack really, but through trial and error and use of the internet, we found our way around eventually. The boat trip sellers in Lapad are very helpful and everyone was very friendly. Lapad Beach is a great place to stay.

Neat and clean, but needs some signs
There is no reception and no signs once you've entered the compound. When I arrived it was thereofore difficult to find the proprietors and I had to ask other guests for help. I recommend hanging up some signs letting customers know where to go and what to do when they arrive. The outdoor areas are very nice and have a good view. The room I stayed in was very simple, but the bed was comfortable and everything was very clean.

Great on a budget
Owners welcoming and helpful on arrival, very clean apartment and kitchen with all the necessary appliances. Not too far from the sea- great swimming and nice views from terrace. Lovely shared terrace/balcony with seating and grape vines. Overall fantastic stay, would recommend for those wanting simple accommodation at a fair price.

Very friendly and helpful owners. Apartments are basic but had every thing we needed and a very reasonable price. Lovely view from the terrace and close to bus stops, ferry port, beach and restaurants. Nice quiet location.

Excellent location and friendly service
We stayed five nights in a studio apartment and were more than satisfied. The location was excellent, close to a few wonderful restaurants and the Lapad beach, and the view from balcony was amazing. The apartment was clean and was perfect for us. I can warmly recommend!

불편한 위치
너무 높은 곳에 있었고 교통편이 좋지 않았아서 아쉬웠습니다. 주변에 딱히 관광할만한 곳은 없었습니다. 방은 깨끗하지만 두명이 지내기 조금 좁은 느낌이었습니다.

Yes, we agree that parking is little bit rough like everywhere in Dubrovnik, but we provide free parking, and on other places it cost 30 EUR per day and that is cost of our room. Hope to host you again and we'll provide our private garage for free ;)

Beautiful apartment with stunning views
This is a family run apartment - lovely people whoa re very helpful and willing to help and recommend places to visit/eat. The apartment itself had everything you would need, clean room, kitchen and bathroom which looked new. Plenty of wardrobe space if you're planning a long stay. The only downfall is the apartment is based on a hill - very close to lapad beach and easy access, so I would recommend this place for people who enjoy walking :)

Varausvahvistuksen mukaan huoneessa piti olla terassi merinäköalalla - ei ollut terassia ollenkaan. Vastaavasti oma kylpyhuone sijaitsi toisen huoneiston kanssa jaetulla eteiskäytävällä, joten suihkuun/vessaan ei voinut kulkea kovin vähissä vaatteissa. Muuten ihan mukava paikka.

Hyvä sijainti ja ystävällinen henkilökunta
Majoitus oli hyvällä paikalla, terassilta upeat näkymät merelle ja bussipysäkki erittäin lähellä. Huone viihtyisä ja siisti, vaikkakin olimme hieman yllättyneitä siitä, että huoneemme vessaan ei päässytkään suoraan huoneesta vaan piti mennä käytävän poikki, jossa muut vieraat myös saattoivat kävellä. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä mutta melko harvoin paikalla eli käytännön asiat kuten lähin ruokakauppa ym. kannattaa selvittää heti kirjautuessa huoneeseen. Kommunikoimme pääasiassa sähköpostin välityksellä. Nettiyhteys onneksi toimi hyvin. Kaiken kaikkiaan mukava ja viihtyisä majoitus, josta on hyvät liikenneyhteydet.

Pretty good location, good apartment
Location was quite close to bus stop into town, as long as you don't mind a few stairs. Apartment was fine, although instructions for hot water were not initially given, leading to a bit of confusion. Safety deposit box had to be requested. All in all a good apartment in a good location.

Hello :) Thank you very much for writing this review. Like 3star private accommodation, we didn't had safety deposit box but we went to buy it after you asked :) You turn off boiler for hot water which was pictured on the switcher and we turned it on after you told that there is no hot water. This part of Croatia only has that type of heating water and we apologize for misunderstanding. We hope that we'll host you again in future :)

Lovely view, tired room
This is not a deluxe room as advertised. There was a sofa bed which was very uncomfotable. The room is dated and not as clean as we would have liked. The family who own it live beneath and own other appartments in the block and they were helpful when we had a problem. The top floor appartment we stayed in had been coverted during the winter into two appartments making the rear one with no view. They clearly want to get more money but should have left it as a large top floor appartment. Loads of steps to get anywhere you need to be fit!

Hotels review is a bit misleading. The kitchen and livingroom pictured is not in the room. Its a shared area with all rooms. View is great. Landlady doesn't speak a lick of english. Wifi rarely ever worked but was slow at its best. Located at the top of an arduous hill. Be prepared

Thank you for your review. We are very sorry that you are unsatisfied with our accommodation. You booked double room with sea view. There is no kitchens in double room. Kitchen that you've got for use is shared between 2 other rooms, it wasn't stated in booking and you didn't payed for it. It was bonus. My grand mom was alone at home at your arrival time because you haven't answer us on e-mail where we asked you to provide us your arrival time so we can be at home, because we are all working. Hope we can host you again in the future.

We stayed two times at this apartment, the apartment has two different buildings on the other sides of the street. Upper apartment was much older and with smaller room than the other one. The apartment wich is more closer to the beach was awesome. Very nice view on the balcony and a clean new room. Upper apartment did not have own balconies at all. Only a shared one. I don´t know how you can tell wich one you book because we made the same kind of reservation both times and ended up in a different apartment. (The upper apartment was cheaper though.)

Hello, FIrst time you were staying with us you booked deluxe studio for 80 EUR per night. Second time you booked double room with shared bathroom for 45 EUR, that's why there is so big difference between accommodation, because is big difference between prices :) We are glad that you liked staying with us and we hope to see and host you again :)

Hello, We are sorry that you were unsatisfied with our accommodation, but we need to make clear some facts. You booked DOUBLE ROOM WITH SHARED BATHROOM. Kitchen is shared with 2 other rooms, and it was bonus, you didn't payed for it, and you didn't know about it until you came. If you didn't liked it, you didn't needed to use it. Double room with shared bathroom is cheapest room because it's small, basic room with double bed, night table, and wardrobe, and because it has shared bathroom. We are really sorry that you were unsatisfied and we do hope that you'll visit us again and we can provide you some of the other rooms. Thank you very much for your time leaving this review.
