'First time in a real B&B and it was wonderful. We were pleasantly greeted by our host and she showed us our room and explained to us, what to expect during our stay. Clay was very knowledgeable about the area, pointing out places to eat and how to reach all the hiking trails. She was a very good conversationalist. We had wonderful conversations about our lives, family and friends. We spent most of our time hiking, sight-seeing all the waterfalls, covered bridges and all the beautiful creations...

'My husband and I spent our 40th wedding anniversary at the Cottage in the Woods. We travel often and mainly use VRBO if we are not staying in a hotel. We typically do not stay at B&B properties but I am so glad that we chose this one! The hosts are wonderful! They make you feel so welcome and comfortable (like visiting old friends). 'If you’re looking for a great home kinda feel look no further. Karen and her staff treated us like family for our 2 night stay. The rooms were perfect size for my girlfriend and I and the bed was super comfortable. Parking was super easy, unloading/ loading was no issue. The meals that we had were great and the prices were more than fair. If you’re in the Benton area and looking for a place to stay DO NOT I repeat DO NOT look any further!!'

'My friends and I were delighted with the charm of this farmhouse. It is a quick drive or longer walk to the lake but it’s a beautiful area to walk through. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were other great little amenities as well. Susan was extremely responsive and we felt cozy and relaxed the entire stay. We will be back!!'
