'Pictures and description is 100%. Communication with the owner is smooth. The cottage is spotless, in the middle of town with café’s (for breakfast and lunch), 1 pub serving food in the evening a couple only 50 meters down the road, a great Italian restaurant in 60 meters and a pub (no food) with a garden 70 meters. The cottage is well laid out. Great walks in the vicinity. For a rainy day there are books from Louise Ross all located in Northumberland. Off road parking is very convenient.'

'Very nice property in great location. A real home from home with everything provided and very clean. Family loved it and want to go back.'

'The house was perfect for our multi-generational family vacation. The children (2-5 years old) loved the yard and game room, and the adults got the game room to themselves when the children went to bed. The grounds are lovely and well maintained and the house is very comfortable. Martin, our host, was very responsive. We did not rent cars, so we used a tour company for day trips and also used taxis for nearby destinations. Thank you Martin!'

'Well presented, well designed property. Really bright and spacious. Very comfy beds. We loved the hot tub and the location. The only slight niggles - a couple of the dining room chairs were very wobbly and the front of the dishwasher kept coming detached. These were not big problems though and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. '

'Gorgeous place and location. Very high spec bathrooms and kitchen. Loads of space. We went for a wedding so didn't spend lots of time in the property but we were able to cook our dinner every day we were there without being on top of each other. Fabulous stay'

'Nice enough place to stay, location is great and a good base for exploring the Scottish Borders.However, the property is missing quite a few of the kitchen basics; there wasn't enough crockery for our family of 5.Great hob and oven and all appliances work well, however, whole place shakes when washing machine is on, so timing is key!Electric shower was really not great, but the corner bath is lovely.Most importantly; there aren't 1.5 bathrooms... there is one. One toilet, one bath, one shower......

'Great location and very modern. I like a traditional feel more than the modern but it had everything one needed. However, there was less than 1 role of toilet paper between both bathrooms combined and no soap or shampoo, napkins, paper towels, dish brushes or clothes wash so come prepared. Also, the garbage outside was filled to overflowing before we arrived and we were unable to clean up our kitchen. Apparently, per the neighbor, this is an ongoing problem. The beds were a little uncomfortable....
