The hosts are excellent people, great communicators who want VBRO guests to have an outstanding experience. Chappy is a wonderful retreat from the rest of the world. That is my only word of caution, it requires a ferry to eat out or shop. Otherwise this is a great place to read write meditate beach and let go of everyday worries. It has a higher price tag because your paying for a premium location, guest service experience and higher quality accomodation.

Lovely Chappy Escape

Our month long stay on Chappy at Mike and Valerie's house was wonderful. The property met our needs in every way and was a wonderful place to relax ater a day on East beach or off island. The kitchen was one of the best equipped of any that I have stayed in which made preparing meals a joy. Communication with Mike/Valerie was good though we would have liked a guide for the house in terms of turning on the outdoor shower (there is a shutoff valve in the basement) or the specifc timing of the separate garbage and recycling (Tuesday for Garbage and Friday for Recycling). There was some damage around the property which we documented and reported to Mike, nothing that impeded our ability to enjoy the property. It would also be helpful to have a guide on what is expected of renters on checkout. We did what we usually do and stripped beds, started a load of linens, cleaned out the fridge, emptied the dishwasher and cleaned any last dishes by hand. Overall a wonderful homebase for our month on Chappy. Thanks again Chirs and Erin

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at this house. The house is clean,. The host was gracious, and the house is in a convenient location on Chappaquiddick. Lots of kitchen amenities, and it's convenient having the washer and dryer. This house did provide linens. One of my biggest complaints with Chappy rental houses is the refusal to provide linens. This house had plenty of linens, which was one reason why we rented it. Parking was easy as well.

Chappy vacation

We had a lovely vacation! Between Washque and Mytoi and gathering in Edgartown as nd South Beach with family it wa a magical, gorgeous time! This is our third stay here and it never disappoints. The best spot to come home to. The deck is so peaceful. The kitchen so clean and functional. Very special vacation spot!!

We had a wonderful stay on Chappy in Valerie’s beautiful home! The upside down house was breezy and bright in the living areas making time in the house a pleasure. Valerie was responsive and helpful & her lovely home had everything we needed for a great week at the beach. We can’t wait to return.

An Unexpected Gem

Staying on Chappaquiddick Island was truly a relaxing and adventurous experience. My family loved discovering all the hidden beaches and engaging with the serene environment. The quick ferry ride to the familiar action in Edgartown, Oak Bluffs, etc. was simple and lovely change of pace each day. The home was cozy, nicely laid out and met all of our vacation needs.

Chappy Vacation

The house was beautiful with a gourmet kitchen and well equipped. The owners are very accommodating and nice to work with. We thoroughly enjoyed this piece of paradise. We decided to stay in Chappy for the first time after staying many years in Katama. The Chappy beaches offer the best in MV and are gorgeous and feel very private. Our experience was wonderful filled with bike rides and daily excursions across Martha’s Vineyard. I would say that the car line for the Chappy Ferry could take time. So you need to plan accordingly and either leave your car or time it right. But we’ll worth the Chappy Experience!!

Wonderful home

We loved our time and found the home to be comfortable and well equipped in a serene, private setting. We enjoyed walking and biking from the property as well as coming hone from our gorgeous days exploring Chappy and Martha’s Vinyard. Highly recommend!

Chappy makes us Happy!

Having stayed on the Vineyard many times and not wanting to be with the crowds we set our eyes on Chappaquiddick and this house did not disappoint! A gorgeous deck that allowed us to have our morning coffee while watching the sun come or sit at night and play cards with the kids while star gazing- and there are many . The outdoor shower was excellent for rinsing off for those that chose to shower inside one of the two full baths. The ones that wanted to used the outdoor shower that is conveniently located adjacent to the mudroom which has washer and dryer ! A gourmet kitchen for those that like to cook - we did enjoy many of the wonderful local restaurants - they were amazing! We found communication with the owners easy, they answered quickly and never made us feel like we were bothering them. There are a few tings to do on the island like the Mytoi Gardens , Cape Poge Wildlife center but what we enjoyed the most was taking our vehicle onto the sand and parking at our very own spot at the beach (passes are purchased online and are valid one year). It was amazing you could be there from morning till dusk if you wanted. The thrill of letting your car tires pressure down and crossing the bridge onto the sand really gives you a thrill and its all five minutes from the house. I will tell anyone who is reading this that this was a vacation where we fully relaxed and enjoyed our family. upon coming home and seeing my in laws the first thing they said was wow to my husband you look relaxed - they couldn't believe it - we say we owe to the the house we rented allowing us to feel the Chappy Happy Way!!

Fantastic Remote House

House was everything we hoped for. Clean and Comfortable. Chappy is a quiet island, near Edgartown. Easy to access Edgartown with the 5 min ferry system.
