I came away from this stay with more bad things to say about it than good, but that is not to say that it wouldn’t be a good place to stay for some people.
Good things:
-Within walking distance of train station and city centre.
-Check in was easy and convenient
-Chromecast allowed us to watch we wanted to watch during our stay (Netflix, Disney )
Bad things:
-Bedside table was filthy, looked like it had not been cleaned.
-The lock on the toilet door did not work.
-Minibar. While I understand that COVID regulations must prevent the hotel from stocking the minibar with drinks, it couldn’t even keep the drinks we put in it cold.
-Noise. Even into the later hours the noise from people walking and talking in the corridor was very loud. We stayed for two nights and were also woken up both times by people going for breakfast.
If you’re looking for a short stay in Edinburgh that is within walking distance of the city centre, then maybe consider staying here, if you’re looking to stay for longer, I wouldn’t recommend it.
