'Arecas is an awesome place, if you enjoy the peace and quiet, to enjoy the Zihuatanejo Bay this is for you. The owner Juan Carlos is very friendly and nice to do business with. 'The hotel is in the tourist area of Ixtapa; basically a row of big hotels where this is one of the furthest away from that centre. Approx. 450-500 yards. You will find the 'towel-people' here (claim a pool chair in the early morning) but there are still plenty available. The pool is not deeper than a yard and rather big. 'Great place for the price. Breathtaking views from the ocean view room. Lots of amenities and great food. Our favorite was the mexican restaurant for dinner and the cevicheria during the day, tacos in the evening. The bartender Lorenzo was super friendly and served us delicious drinks, he always made sure that they tasted exactly like we wanted.
