'When I arrived, we found the property needed some upgrading, some items in the kitchen were dirty,the baking trays in the oven, one was rusty,the couch upstairs had dirt under the cushions, I asked the owner to clean it and the oven tray,but we actually clesned the kitchen ourselves. 'A lovely little Cottage to stay in, it was well situated for reaching all the main coastal areas with ease. We really enjoyed our stay thanks.One little point in which we felt was needed. A simple pint of milk as a kind gesture in the fridge as must have. A cuppa was needed after a very long journey. Other than that it was suitably accommodating.Thank you.'

'We stayed for a week in February, and it was fabulous. The weather was a bit damp on and off, but the Grooms Bothy was always warm and welcoming. (I want underfloor heating!). It’s well equipped, close to Kelso for everything you need, and in a quiet and pretty location. The owners live next door, and a with their 2 little dogs are friendly and on hand if you need something. The welcome pack of milk, snacks and wine was a lovely touch. "The bathroom was poor quality with water stopper that was stuck closed. The bedroom itself was fine, but there was an incredibly bright green emergency light that lighted the entire room during the night. It wasn’t possible to turn this off.
